Bapaco Unveiled on Kickstarter — A Gadget That Replaces Multiple Devices at Once

A crowdfunding campaign has launched on Kickstarter for Bapaco, an innovative device that merges a mechanical keyboard, a mini-computer, and a touchscreen display. Positioned as an all-in-one solution, it caters to those looking for a compact yet multifunctional device for both work and leisure.
Bapaco features a 12.3-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1920x720 pixels. The display's tilt angle can be adjusted between 0 and 90 degrees, allowing users to customize it for various tasks. At its core, the mini-PC is powered by an Intel Core i5-1235U processor, offering sufficient performance for everyday use. However, users must install their own RAM, SSD, and operating system before getting started.
The device can also function as an external keyboard and secondary display for PCs, Macs, or Android devices, thanks to its USB-C connectivity. A built-in 5,000 mAh battery provides up to six hours of video playback on a single charge.
The mechanical keyboard comes with linear switches and RGB backlighting, though it is only available in a QWERTY layout. However, users can swap out the switches if needed. Additional features include a built-in 3W speaker, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Weighing 1.82 kg, Bapaco remains relatively portable.
The base version, which comes without RAM or an SSD, is available on Kickstarter for $643. The first shipments are scheduled for May 2025.
