Grok 3 Goes Free: Elon Musk Unleashes the World's Smartest AI

Elon Musk's company xAI has made its flagship neural network Grok 3 free for users worldwide. This new model, hailed by its developers as an “intellectual breakthrough,” is now accessible without a subscription—at least as long as the server capacity can handle the demand. X Premium+ and SuperGrok subscribers, however, will receive exclusive perks, including early access to voice mode and advanced features that remain under wraps.

According to xAI, Grok 3 has outperformed ChatGPT-4o and Google’s Gemini in key tests, including solving mathematical problems, generating code, and data analysis. In the Chatbot Arena rankings, the model scored a record 1402 points, surpassing its competitors (1377 and 1385 points, respectively). Yet, Grok 3's standout feature is its ability to simulate human thought. With its Think function, the AI analyzes multiple strategies, checks for errors, and even takes minutes to contemplate complex questions, just like an expert would.
