Painkiller Returns: Cult Shooter Series Gets Modern Reimagining

At the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2025, a brand new Painkiller was fully unveiled, promising a modern reimagining of the iconic shooter series.

In Painkiller, players must stop the fallen angel Azazel and his three creations – the Nephilim – who seek to unleash a demon army upon Earth. The game will offer single-player and co-op modes (up to three players), dark gothic locations, battles against demonic monstrosities, a variety of weapons (including updated classic guns), and four playable characters to choose from (Inka, Void, Sol, and Rock), each with unique abilities.

Painkiller is set to launch in Fall 2025 for PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with Russian subtitles.
