Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Enters Steam Early Access to Mixed Reviews

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, a new open-world action RPG based on the hit TV series, has launched in Early Access on Steam (March 26th) to a somewhat lukewarm reception from players.
The project currently holds a 66% positive rating on Steam. Positive reviews praise the game for its story, voice acting, music, character designs, the series' atmosphere, and optimization. Negative feedback, however, criticizes the game for its mobile-game-like mechanics and microtransactions. Opinions on the graphics are divided, with some finding them appealing while others deem them subpar. Several Steam users have commented that Game of Thrones: Kingsroad feels like a mobile title, which is worth noting as the project is planned for release on Android and iOS in the future.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was developed by South Korean company Netmarble using Unreal Engine 5. The game is expected to remain in Early Access for at least four weeks. The current Early Access version features 50 main quests, hundreds of side missions and activities, co-op dungeons, PvE challenges, and a large portion of the game map. The game will be free-to-play upon its full release.
