Razer Unveils Unique Gaming Chair That Can Cool and Warm the User

At CES 2025, Razer showcased a unique gaming chair called Project Arielle. Its main feature is the ability to heat and cool the user.

Currently, the chair is a prototype, and it's uncertain if it will go into mass production. Project Arielle is based on the existing Razer Fujin Pro model, which is priced at $1049.

The chair is equipped with a special cooler that can lower the perceived temperature by 2-5 degrees Celsius. Additionally, it has heating elements (capable of providing temperatures up to 30 degrees Celsius) for when the player feels cold.

Temperature control is managed via a touch panel attached to the chair. Notably, the prototype has already been tested by The Verge's authors.

We briefly tried it here at CES 2025 and it’s cool! Or warm, depending on the mode you set it to. When my colleague Sean Hollister tried it, he found it didn’t just warm or cool his butt, but gently and quietly blew a substantial amount of climate-controlled air onto his upper back from small holes along the chair’s top edge.

According to Razer, the coolers built into the chair are very quiet, so the player will hardly hear any noise when they are operating. Naturally, Project Arielle also features RGB lighting, which is typical for gaming devices.

As a reminder, we previously reported that NVIDIA announced new RTX 50 graphics cards at CES 2025.
