CES 2025 highlights Clink-X xCraft, a mini-PC with custom design options

At CES 2025, Emdoor introduced the Clink-X xCraft, a compact modular mini-PC that impressed with its customization capabilities. Designed for DIY enthusiasts, the device will be sold as a kit for self-assembly. The Clink-X xCraft allows users to not only upgrade components like RAM (up to 128 GB DDR5-5600) and SSDs (two M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe slots) but also personalize the external design. Buyers can choose from various magnetic panels in different colors to create a unique look.

The kit includes:

  • A motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 7 250 or 260 processor based on Zen 4 architecture, featuring 8 cores and 16 threads.
  • Integrated Radeon 780M graphics.
  • A metallic frame and customizable panels.
  • An assembly tool that doubles as a Wi-Fi 6 antenna.
  • A compact 14.4×14.4×4.9 cm case equipped with ports including USB4, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 2.1.

In the future, Emdoor plans to release additional modules, such as passive cooling, external GPUs, or blocks with extra ports. These will enable users to build a configuration tailored to their specific needs.

The Clink-X xCraft is set to launch on Kickstarter in March 2025. The base version, without RAM and SSD, will be priced at $500. A version with pre-installed RAM and SSD will cost an additional $100. The first units are expected to ship in April 2025.
