xAI Officially Launches Grok 3 — A New Milestone in AI Development

xAI has made another breakthrough in artificial intelligence with the launch of its flagship model, Grok 3. This marks a significant step forward in AI evolution, as Grok 3 not only outperforms its predecessors but also takes on industry leaders like OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Google’s Gemini.

Grok 3 is a family of AI models, each optimized for specific tasks. The core version delivers unprecedented accuracy in data analysis, image processing, and solving complex problems. According to Elon Musk, Grok 3 is ten times more powerful than its predecessor, Grok 2, thanks to massive computational resources. The model was trained using one of the world’s largest data centers in Memphis, equipped with 200,000 GPUs.

One of Grok 3’s key features is its advanced reasoning capabilities. The Grok 3 Reasoning and Grok 3 mini Reasoning models can "think through" problems, verifying facts before providing answers. This makes them particularly useful for scientific research, mathematics, and programming tasks. Another innovation is the DeepSearch tool, which analyzes information from open sources and the X social network, delivering concise analytical reports. Positioned as a competitor to OpenAI’s Deep Research, DeepSearch offers deeper integration within Musk’s ecosystem.

Users can interact with Grok 3 through the Grok app, which features two modes: Think for standard queries and Big Brain for complex computations. A voice mode is also in development, allowing Grok 3 to communicate using synthesized speech.

Grok 3 will first be available to subscribers of X Premium+ ($50/month). For those seeking even more capabilities, xAI offers the SuperGrok plan ($30/month or $300/year), which includes expanded DeepSearch features, unlimited image generation, and additional reasoning model queries. In the coming weeks, Grok 3 will also be accessible via xAI’s enterprise API, enabling businesses to integrate it into their workflows. Additionally, Musk has pledged to open-source Grok 2 once Grok 3 reaches full stability.
