Redmi Unveils an Affordable 240Hz, 2K Gaming Monitor

Redmi has expanded its monitor lineup with the introduction of the 27-inch G27Q model. Aimed at gamers, this new release strikes a balance between performance and cost. The monitor is equipped with an IPS panel boasting a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, capable of delivering up to a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms (GTG) response time. This helps reduce motion blur in fast-paced scenes—a critical factor for shooters and racing simulators. Additionally, support for AMD FreeSync Premium minimizes synchronization artifacts when paired with compatible graphics cards.

The monitor covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color space and the full sRGB gamut, while its 10-bit color depth ensures smooth gradients. A peak brightness of 400 cd/m² makes it suitable for use in moderately lit environments. The G27Q also features an adjustable stand with height and tilt adjustments, along with VESA mounting compatibility. For connectivity, it offers two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and two HDMI 2.0 ports, allowing for multiple signal sources simultaneously.

The monitor is expected to retail at $209 (approximately 18,000 rubles), with shipments set to begin in the coming weeks. The G27Q announcement intensifies competition in the budget gaming monitor segment by making high-end features such as 2K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate accessible to a wide audience. Beyond gamers, this device may also appeal to graphics professionals thanks to its extensive color coverage.
