The developers of Baldur's Gate 3 are working on two new games: «This will be our best work ever»
The Baldur's Gate 3 developers have posted a note on Steam about their future plans for the game. Currently, the studio is working on the seventh major patch, which includes several new features.
The update will add enhanced evil endings for all characters — a small teaser can be seen in the gifs below. Players will be able to hear a new composition called «March Of Darkness,» composed by Borislav Slavov.
In addition to this, the patch will fix several bugs and add official modding tools, allowing players to turn the RPG into «the weird nightmare realm of your dreams.» Work is also underway on the implementation of cross-play and a photo mode, but these should not be expected before the eighth patch.
Finally, Larian thanked fans for their support and confirmed that they are already working on two new games set in their own universes. «I don't know if we're going to pull it off, but looking at our narrative, visual and gameplay plans, I think what we're working on now will be our best work ever. I get excited like a kid watching the key imagery, want to show it to everyone now and grumble in frustration at having to wait until it's actually all working.»
