PS4 emulator managed to run Red Dead Redemption on PC at 60 FPS
It evolves: the new version of the shadPS4 emulator managed to run the re-release of Red Dead Redemption on PC at a frame rate of 60 FPS. In addition, the program coped with several more 3D games for PS4.
Earlier, we tried to play the console version of Red Dead Redemption through shadPS4, but the game produced a very low number of frames per second. The other day, version 0.2.0 of the emulator was released, which managed to squeeze out all 60 FPS. However, it was still not without problems — the game had graphical bugs, some items disappeared, and the characters sped up. You can evaluate the result in the video by Emulator_Team:
In addition, the YouTuber again tried to run Bloodborne and Dark Souls Remastered. The first game finally worked with sound, but froze after launch, and the second allowed us to explore the initial location a little — albeit with serious bugs.
You can look at the results of testing shadPS4 in our previous materials. By the way, six more emulators for the fourth «PlayStation» are in development, but it seems that they are far from the new competitor.
Recently, more evidence has appeared that the official PC port of Red Dead Redemption is just around the corner.
