Indie Studio BIX TEAM Drops Gameplay Teaser for Weltkrieg 1: Firestorm, a Mobile Shooter Evoking Battlefield 1
Indie developer BIX TEAM has released a gameplay teaser for their upcoming mobile online shooter, Weltkrieg 1: Firestorm, and it's giving off serious Battlefield 1 vibes. The trailer showcases both first-person and third-person gameplay.
Weltkrieg 1: Firestorm is set to be a 6v6 PvP shooter set during World War I, featuring distinct classes like Assault, Medic, Sniper, and Machine Gunner, as well as playable tanks. The developers emphasize that they're aiming for a fast-paced, dynamic experience rather than a realistic war simulator. The game is in development for iOS and Android, with an early release slated for this summer. A specific release date is yet to be announced.
Speaking of the Battlefield franchise, a new installment is currently in development, though it remains untitled. DICE, Motive, Criterion, and Ripple Effect are all contributing to the project. The shooter is expected to launch before April 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Recently, several gameplay clips from a closed test leaked online.
