A serious lighting bug has been fixed in Fallout 3 years later
A user on Reddit published a post about one of the Fallout 3 bugs that players had not noticed for 15 years. With her correction, everything really falls into place.
We are talking about a bug with lighting. It turns out that all these years the sun's rays fell on the completely opposite side of the objects. Roughly speaking, if the sun was on the right, then the rays illuminated objects on the left.
A Redditor with the nickname JBozART discovered this bug and found its causes. It turns out that they simply forgot to add the «-» sign in the line of code, which is why the axis was not inverted.
Now the error has been corrected by modders — enthusiast WallSoGB has created a small mod that corrects the lighting. You can download it here.
