This mod adds the KrAZ 256 to BeamNG.drive, a classic Soviet heavy-duty truck recreated with improved realism and driving feel. Based on the original work by Bagusik and enhanced by ivan_beamng, this version introduces multiple refinements to make the vehicle more authentic and enjoyable to use.
Features:
- Fully modeled KrAZ 256, accurately capturing the iconic proportions and rugged design of the real truck;
- Improved engine sound, updated starter, and revised gearbox behavior for a more realistic driving experience;
- Updated gear ratios, reduced from the original 12 to 5, along with slightly lowered engine power to better balance top speed;
- Functional instrument cluster with animated gear lever and drive shafts;
- Tilting cargo bed, reflecting the truck’s real-world utility;
- Realistic damage system, providing believable deformation during impacts;
- Several limitations of the original mod addressed, including minor texture improvements and mechanical adjustments.
Installation:
