Fallout is a legendary series of role-playing games, the first part of which was released back in 1997. The series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, formed after a large-scale nuclear war around the world. The people who survived the fall of atomic bombs began to create a new world, and the main characters of the series usually have a strong influence on its immediate future.
If the first two parts of Fallout (not counting the spin-offs) are isometric RPGs, then the newer games in the series are 3D shooters with role-playing elements from the first and third person.
The Fallout series is also known for its S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system, which determines the main characteristics of the hero.
