A plain pak modification that displays all uncollected items on the region map, including black stone and amber fragments, memory flowers, major chests, and challenge encounters. It re-enables hidden map icons natively created by the developers. It functions without the UE4SS framework.

Marked on the Map:

  • Black stone fragments.
  • Sha-Chi amber fragments.
  • Memory flowers tinted in blue for better visibility.
  • Major chests with individual icons for each chest.
  • Challenge encounters including long pillars, human-faced banyans, and scarecrows.
  • Collected items automatically disappear from the map.
  • Icons remain visible even in territories covered by map fog.
  • Hovering over an icon displays the item name.
  • Marker numbers correspond to the counters in the in-game collection details panel.

How It Works:

  • These icons already exist in the game files but were disabled prior to release.
  • The modification switches them back on, scales them for readability when zooming, and restores missing localization labels.
  • Marker coordinates and collection validation are read directly from native game data.
  • Weapons, accessories, and medicines are not shown because the game does not maintain an uncollected list for them.

Installation:

  1. Open the main game directory via Steam by right-clicking Phantom Blade Zero, choosing Manage, and selecting Browse local files.
  2. Verify that you are in the root directory containing the Engine and ProjectPBZ folders.
  3. Extract the downloaded archive directly into this folder so files populate the tilde mods folder inside ProjectPBZ\Content\Paks.
  4. Do not extract files next to PBZ.exe in platform\steam, as the game will fail to load the modification from there.
  5. Ensure that the three PBZMapMarkers_P files with pak, utoc, and ucas extensions are placed correctly.
  6. Launch the game.

Removal and Compatibility:

  • To uninstall, delete the three PBZMapMarkers_P files from the tilde mods folder.
  • The mod can be safely installed or removed at any time without affecting save games.
  • It is fully compatible with free teleportation and other map UI modifications.
  • Designed specifically for Steam game build 26266538.
