Players have found a deleted post-credits scene in Modern Warfare 3. It reveals the fate of Captain Price
A data miner with the nickname yoyo1love has restored the deleted post-credits scene of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011). Judging by it, the story of Captain Price should have ended differently.
The scene was in the game files for 13 years, but they could only turn it on now. The video continues the ending of the game, in which Price sits down and lights a cigarette after the fight with Makarov. However, a certain figure in a suit, designated in the game files as «shadowman» / «ominous stranger», appears ahead and inspects the battle site, after which Price drops his cigar and loses consciousness. At the end of the scene, a photo appears of the key characters of the trilogy who died at the time of the game.
As players on Reddit speculated, the mysterious figure could very well be Death, who eventually came for Price. The developers themselves from Infinity Ward most likely planned the death of the character, but in the end they abandoned this ending, hiding the video.
Recently, The Wall Street Journal suggested that the new part of Call of Duty will be released directly to Game Pass. There is a chance that Microsoft will increase the subscription price because of this.
