Ubisoft has canceled the Driver series, but the franchise is not abandoned

Judging by Ubisoft's annual report, viewers won't see a show based on the Driver racing series. The company decided to abandon its production, but is planning other projects for this franchise.
The Game File publication reported this after carefully studying the studio's report. It follows from it that the production company, which was supposed to be responsible for the release of the Driver series, has closed. The publication also received confirmation of this fact from Ubisoft. However, at the same time, the studio stated that it is «actively working on other interesting projects related to the franchise.»
The series was announced in September 2021, it was intended to be released exclusively for the Binge online cinema. The show's main character was to be former race car driver and undercover agent John Tanner.
