Rumor: Another Dead Space Animated Movie Coming
According to well-known insider Daniel Richtman, instead of the expected Dead Space adaptation, fans may get a new animated film. Recall that rumors about a film adaptation have been circulating since 2013.
More than 10 years ago, Electronic Arts mentioned plans to film a live-action game series, and in 2022, horror director John Carpenter said that he would not mind making a Dead Space film. Since then, he has managed to deny his involvement in the film, but hinted that another director is in charge of production.
According to Daniel Richtman, the filmmakers decided to abandon the film adaptation and return to the idea of an animated film. Note that for now, this information is nothing more than a rumor.
Animated adaptations for Dead Space are nothing new: in 2008, Dead Space: Downfall was released about the events on the Ishimura, and in 2011, the world saw Dead Space: Aftermath.
Incidentally, the creator of the space horror Glen Schofield recently announced that he is ready to make another game in the Dead Space universe.
