Old-School Pixel Art Action Game Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Announced by Blasphemous Creators

A new old-school action game with pixel art, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, was announced during the ceremony. The creators released the first trailer featuring gameplay footage and animated scenes.

The game is set to launch on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in the summer of 2025.

The story follows ninja Kenji Mozu, who must fend off a demon invasion in the village of Hayabusa.

The developers have stated that Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound will combine classic gameplay with modern mechanics.

"The brutal, nostalgia-infused aesthetic of NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound pays homage to the past while pushing the boundaries of modern pixel art", — reads the description.

The game is being developed by The Game Kitchen, known for the Blasphemous series, and published by Dotemu.
