Metacritic Reveals Worst Games of 2024: Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat Takes Second Place
December 18, 2024, 01:02 PM
Metacritic has published another year-end feature, this time highlighting the worst-rated games of 2024. The selection includes titles released after January 1, with at least four reviews from professional outlets.
Surprisingly, the dubious honor of "Worst Game of 2024" went to Utopia City, a Russian shooter originally released in 2005 but re-released on Steam last month.
Second place was claimed by the mobile game Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, heavily criticized for its storyline and gacha mechanics. Third place went to the VR horror game HappyFunland. Several other projects based on popular licenses, including Stranger Things and Transformers, also made the list.
