Skyrim on Unreal Engine 5 compared frame by frame with the original

YouTuber MxBenchmarkPC took a walk through the world of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, recreated on Unreal Engine 5.5, comparing it with the original on Creation Engine. The video did not include the entire province, but only a few cities.

The video below shows the starting village of Riverwood, Morthal and Winterhold. The blogger decided not only to show how the graphics were improved, but also shot footage with different weather conditions, such as snowfall and rain. Since all the assets were ported from the original TES 5: Skyrim, footage with the UE 5 version can be confused with a modified game:

Recall that the project was handled by independent developer Greg Coulthard. He did not improve the graphics and fill the world with NPCs, since the main goal was to test the file reading plugin he created. However, even so, the 13-year-old game began to look fresher.

Earlier, another blogger walked around the world of TES 5: Skyrim on Unreal Engine 5, showing the recreated Winterhold, Falkreath, Morthal and Solitude. Also recently appeared a video with updated Riften, Whiterun and Blackreach.
