The Blood of Dawnwalker Will Have Romances and a Special Magic System
It's now certain: The Blood of Dawnwalker from the creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 will have a romance system. The former CD Projekt RED team answered some questions from players after the first presentation.
The developer studio Rebel Wolves, founded by the former game director of The Witcher 3, held a Q&A session in their Discord channel. In particular, the creators discussed the magic system in their future game. To the chagrin of fireball fans, Cohen's abilities will be quite mundane:
In addition, they confirmed the presence of romances in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Cohen will be able to start a relationship with some characters, but this will be revealed closer to the release.
Another interesting detail was the distinctive feature of the vampires from The Blood of Dawnwalker, which is not found in other media. They were given a unique way of turning people into their own kind — bloodsuckers pull out their own fang and pierce the victim's heart with it. The main character will go through the same procedure at the beginning of the game.
Recall that the events of the game will unfold in Europe in the 14th century at the height of the plague. A guy named Cohen is turned into a human-vampire hybrid, and now he is forced to save his family in 30 days and 30 nights. The project is being developed for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
Earlier it became known that the open world of The Blood of Dawnwalker will be made like the Valley of Mines from Gothic. The developers told more about the gameplay during the cinematic.
