Things are not going well at Ubisoft, and the French publisher has decided to make more layoffs. This time, they will close the UK studio and lay off more than 180 employees.
According to Eurogamer, the restructuring affected the office in Lymington, where the support team for the development of Tom Clancy's The Division, Star Wars Outlaws, Skull and Bones and Far Cry 5 worked. In addition, three more studios will undergo changes in staff, as a result of which dozens of developers will be laid off:

By the way, the Lymington studio was once called FreeStyleGames and was owned by Activision, working on the DJ Hero, Guitar Hero and Call of Duty series. In 2017, the company was bought by Ubisoft.
Recall that in 2024, Ubisoft suffered a crushing failure with several projects at once, including Star Wars: Outlaw and XDefiant. Now the company is trying to avoid a buyout by Tencent — there was a recent rumor that the publisher agreed to DLC for Assassin's Creed Mirage for the sake of investment.
