CD Projekt RED Quest Designer Admits He Voiced Some Intimate Scenes in Cyberpunk 2077

In honor of the 13th anniversary of working at CD Projekt RED, lead quest designer Pavel Sasko shared stories from his experience working at the studio. In his thread, he revealed some behind-the-scenes details of the development of both parts of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.

Pavel Sasko

Back in 2012, he joined the staff as "employee №86" and was engaged in testing games. The most difficult task was the fight with Draug in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings — according to Pavel Sasko, he was able to defeat him only on the 46th try and and he almost made him "losing his mind". If even on release, the fight with the boss is a real challenge, you can imagine what it was like during the development stage.

Pavel Sasko also admitted that the first mission he wrote in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was the quest "Family Matters", the script for which took up 40 pages. This chain of quests was especially memorable for players who immersed themselves in the story of the Bloody Baron and his family. He also worked on a quest with Priscilla's play. After the players' reaction, CDPR decided to add something similar to Cyberpunk 2077, and that's how the quest with assembling the Samurai group appeared.

Fun fact: it turns out that Pavel Sasko can be heard in some intimate scenes in Cyberpunk 2077:

Another fact from Pavel Sasko — the wight from the Blood and Wine add-on was a representation of people with an eating disorder.

Earlier, he, the lead designer at CD Projekt RED, told what the most difficult quest for The Witcher 3 he had to write.
