Blades of Fire Announced — A New Brutal Action Game from the Creators of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
Publisher 505 Games and developer MercurySteam Entertainment (known for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Metroid Dread) have unveiled a new third-person action-adventure game titled Blades of Fire. The first trailer featuring gameplay footage is now available.
The protagonist is Aran de Leer, a warrior and the firstborn of the Royal Domain, who must challenge the newly crowned Queen Nerea and her monstrous army.
The game features a lot of blood, dismemberment, and the ability to craft weapons to suit your combat style. Among its highlights is a unique combat system.
"A unique and complex combat system allows you to target specific body parts of the enemy. Deliver slashing, piercing, or crushing blows depending on the situation and enemy gear. Only the right weapon can penetrate the enemy's armor," the description states.
Additionally, Blades of Fire promises around 50 types of enemies, over 30 unique Forge Scrolls, and limitless freedom in combinations.
The release is set for May 22 this year for PC (Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are now open.
