Silent Hill f Gets Mature ESRB Rating Due to Shocking Gameplay Details

Konami decided to release Silent Hill f as a real horror game not for the faint of heart. Judging by the latest age rating from the ESRB, the game will be full of bloody and frankly creepy moments.
The project was assigned an M17+ rating. The description says that in Silent Hill f, players will find a lot of blood, the character can literally have his face torn apart, and cut-scenes will show a person being burned alive in a cage, a woman being branded with a hot iron, hands and parts of the face being sawed off, as well as internal organs on display for everyone to see.
The developers shared some details on the official Silent Hill f website. Gamers were warned that the game demonstrates gender discrimination, hallucinations of characters, scenes of torture and brutal violence. Konami even recommends that players take a break if they feel uncomfortable.
By the way, for the first time in the history of the franchise, Silent Hill f received an 18+ rating in Japan.
Silent Hill f will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5, but the release date is unknown. The plot of the new game will unfold in a small Japanese town in the 1960s, which was in the grip of a strange fog. System requirements and a plot trailer are published here.
