Tribute Games has dropped a new trailer and revealed the release date for Marvel Cosmic Invasion, a superhero beat 'em up in the vein of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. The developers also showcased two additional playable characters: Phoenix (Jean Grey) and Iron Man (Tony Stark).
War spans the stars, but our planet is safe: the very embodiment of life and fire has joined the MARVEL Cosmic Invasion roster. In her initial form, Jean Grey annihilated insectoids with incredible telekinetic powers, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. She has evolved, and now the Phoenix flame is ready to consume all manifestations of evil! The insectoids are doomed, because alongside Phoenix, the Invincible Iron Man will charge into battle. Tony Stark's armored alter ego will unleash the full might of technology upon Annihilus, including Crushing Repulsors and the Iron Cannon!
In total, Marvel Cosmic Invasion will feature 15 playable characters:
- Captain America (Steve Rogers)
- Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
- Venom (Eddie Brock)
- Wolverine (James Howlett)
- Storm (Ororo Munroe)
- Phyla-Vell
- Nova (Richard Rider)
- Rocket Raccoon
- She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters)
- Beta Ray Bill
- Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd)
- Black Panther (T'Challa)
- Cosmic Ghost Rider (Frank Castle)
- Phoenix (Jean Grey)
- Iron Man (Tony Stark)
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is slated to launch on December 1st for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. A free demo is currently available on Steam.
