Stellaris Gets Major Infernals Expansion

The global 4X strategy game Stellaris has released a paid expansion called the Infernals Species Pack. This DLC focuses on extremophiles that inhabit scorching volcanic worlds.
The expansion introduces two new origins: Dawn of Creation (a civilization awakens without memories of its past life) and Red Giant (your star has entered a phase of anomalously rapid expansion). It also features the crisis path Galactic Hypothermia, four new civilian models, volcanic worlds, portraits of the infernals (a race whose tissue is composed of metal alloys), the trait Thermophile (instead of food, settlements will consume alloys), a new ship set, a diplomatic room, an advisor voice, flag emblems, and more.
The Stellaris: Infernals Species Pack is now available! This is the final chapter of Stellaris: Season 09, where you can thrive where others will burn. The Infernals Species Pack, developed by Forgotten Empires in close collaboration with Paradox Development Studios, is the most impressive race pack to date, dedicated to extremophiles living in searing volcanic worlds.
Players have received the expansion lukewarmly, with it garnering 50% positive reviews on Steam.
Stellaris was released in 2016 for PC and became available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019. The game has an OpenCritic score of 81/100 and a Steam rating of 85%.
