In honor of the tenth anniversary of The Division franchise, Ubisoft hosted a broadcast during which players learned about the future of the series. In particular, they talked about the anniversary season in Tom Clancy's The Division 2 and the new mobile game.
The Division 2 has already started its anniversary season, which will last until April 2. There are two modes for players: Ambush and Assault. The first one uses a damage multiplier of up to 200%. It increases when you stand still and decreases if you move. In the second mode, the damage inflicted on opponents increases depending on how far away the player is.
Another important innovation is the Realism mode. There is no health regeneration, limited ammo, increased skill cooldown, no HUD, and a simplified user interface.
Realism will be available to all owners of the Warlords of New York add-on. At the same time, the add-on itself was made free for the duration of the anniversary season.
The developers talked about plans for the development of The Division 2 after the end of the anniversary season. In April, a new season called Rise Up will begin, where players will have to fight the Black Tusk group.
In addition, the authors of the game want to work on the balance of the PvP mode, as well as add crossplay and new missions. The Survival mode is currently being tested, as well as DLC, which will take place in New York's Central Park.
At the presentation, they talked about the mobile game Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence. It will be available on March 31 on iOS and Android. It will be an open-world, MMO-style project. Notably, The Division 2 players can receive rewards if they complete the mobile version.
