The core gameplay of Lethal Company is directly related to visiting planets of varying difficulty and scavenging for scrap to sell later. The difficulty level is linear, ranging from easy to hard, which directly affects the amount of valuable scrap and the difficulty of the monsters that appear on the planet. In this guide, we've provided a detailed list of moons, their descriptions, and features.
As we've noted, all planets are divided into several levels of difficulty:
If you're new to Lethal Company, we recommend starting your game exploration with moons of low difficulty: Experimentation, Assurance , and Vow. These planets are ideal for the initial stages of the game due to their low level of danger, relatively small number of monster varieties, and the chance of their appearance.
Lethal Company features a mechanic that complicates players' stays on planets through random weather conditions, none of which are favorable for the players. Before describing the planets, it's worth mentioning how exactly the game changes with the weather.
An Eclipse signifies the absence of a «day» phase, meaning an increased chance of monster spawns on the surface at any time of the day.
Flooding literally becomes a natural limitation during players' stay on the moon. The longer the crew members spend inside complexes searching for loot, the more flooded the surface will become until it's completely impossible to reach the ship.
Rain means increased humidity, slightly reduced visibility, and the formation of many areas with quicksand, where players risk drowning.
A Storm is characterized by heavy rain with thunder. During such weather, lightning strikes chaotically across the location, which can hit players and instantly kill them. Additionally, lightning strikes metal objects. If players are carrying scrap to the ship, a notification «Immediately drop metal objects» will appear right before a strike. You must comply with the requirement and move aside.
Fog is one of the most unpleasant weather conditions for new players unfamiliar with the landscape of the maps and the location of main and emergency exits. During this weather phenomenon, each player's visibility is reduced to just a few meters in front of them, significantly complicating navigation.
For convenience, the moons in this guide are listed in the same order as in the game itself, which coincidentally represents the levels of difficulty.
A dry planet with a small number of inhabitants and scrap metal, it was hardly discovered by the company due to its orbit's proximity to the gas giant Big Grin. A satellite of the Easy category with a basic danger level of «B» (a decent number of enemies inside and outside).
This moon becomes the first for many and is one of the simplest due to the absence of complex enemies and the relatively close location of the ship to the entrance to the complex. During the daytime, there is a high chance of encountering manticoils and wandering locusts. At night, the planet's inhabitants are eyeless dogs and earth leviathans.
Inside the facility, there are also several enemies to be wary of, such as bunker spiders, trap fleas, collector beetles, and in rare cases, a bracken may appear.
The peculiarities of this planet include:
It is a twin satellite of Experimentation with much more uneven and eroded terrain. Considered an easy location with a danger level of «D» (almost no dangers inside and outside the complex).
Relatively safe for beginners due to the small number of external enemies. But in addition to eyeless dogs and earth leviathans, forest guardians may also be encountered.
Although the danger level is lower than the first moon, the main and fire exits in the complex are located further from the ship, and many passages can be randomly blocked by chain bees or giant pumpkins, making players easier prey for the earth leviathan.
Enemies inside the complex will be the same as on Experimentation, but with a slightly larger amount of scrap, depending on the generated layout. The fire exit is on a more dangerous side, as missing a jump can lead to injury or even death. It is important to be cautious when carrying heavy items, as they can reduce the length of the jump.
One of the first moons available for flight. It has a highly hilly terrain and a humid climate. Previously, the planet had colonies on different continents, but now no signs of intelligent life have been found. It has an easy difficulty level with a danger level of «C» (a small number of enemies inside and outside the complex).
Monsters are similar to previous planets both inside and outside the complex. However, the plant nature implies an increased chance of spawning forest guardians and chain bees guarding the hives. Inside the facility, you can encounter bunker spiders, trap fleas, bracken, and other hostile creatures, but with a low chance of spawning coilheads.
A feature of this map is the rickety bridge on the way to the main entrance. It is designed for several players without cargo or one player with a small weight. If crew members carry a large amount of scrap, the bridge under them will collapse, which can lead to injuries or death. When delivering cargo to the ship, it is recommended to bypass the rickety bridge on the left side through the solid wall of the dam or on the right side through a small depression.
Offense is a detached part of Assurance, which has the same uneven and arid conditions but differs in its ecosystem. Considered a medium difficulty planet with a danger level of «B» (a decent number of enemies inside and outside the complex). Classified as a lunar asteroid that has existed for less than a couple of hundred years. It is believed that many industrial artifacts were built long before its separation from the main moon.
The enhanced ecosystem of the location supports aggressive life forms. The likelihood of monsters appearing on the surface is increased, especially at night. The entrance to the complex is located far from the ship, giving enemies more opportunities for attacks and increasing the danger of delivering cargoes.
Inside the industrial complex, it becomes more dangerous, with an increased chance of encountering tamperers, hydroids, and coilheads. Fortunately, the chances of spawning bracken and forest guardians are reduced.
The fire exit is available only in case of purchasing a portable ladder in the terminal store. And the mansion's interior has an extremely low chance of generation compared to moons of higher difficulty.
A medium difficulty level moon with a danger level of «B». It has increased humidity and a very extensive area. Recommended for players who have well mastered navigation and movement through the terrain of the previously offered maps.
The entrance to the complex is visible immediately after landing, however, the huge lake in the middle of the map is a deadly obstacle that must be bypassed. The main danger on the surface are earth leviathans, eyeless dogs, and forest guardians, which easily detect crew members. Also, chain bee hives often spawn on the surface.
The vast scale of the map also applies to the internal structure of the complex, featuring a large number of forks and three fire exits at different ends of the map. Upon entering the complex, players will encounter the familiar bunker-type architecture and a large amount of loot to be extracted, while avoiding tamperers, spiders, collector beetles, trap fleas, brackens, and coilheads.
The first moon offered in the game, featuring a high level of difficulty with a danger level of «A» (a large number of enemies both inside and outside), recommended for visit after completing the first quotas. The cost of visiting is $550.
The planet description mentions the absence of complex life forms on the surface, but this is more of a misleading introduction, as dangerous animals inhabit here. Forest guardians pose a particular danger — they are deaf but can see players very well even through a heavy blizzard.
For orientation on the map and finding the entrance to the complex, there are large flashing poles connected by ropes and located between the ship and the complex, which is a mansion. The loot found will correspondingly have a high value, but here you will encounter stronger enemies, such as brackens, coilheads, or jesters.
The second planet with high difficulty and a danger level of «S» (a large number of enemies both inside and outside), the cost of visiting will be $600. Like Rend, it has a similar orbit and the same bad weather conditions, but a longer path to the main complex. Dine has a larger area and an increased chance of spawning earth leviathans.
It has a mansion interior where much more valuable loot can be found, but players will have to fight against difficult enemies. Once inside, players may encounter any number of enemies, with jesters, coilheads, bunker spiders, and tamperers being the most common.
The last moon with the highest difficulty and a danger level of «S+», the cost of visiting is $700. The environment is a flat, snow-covered wasteland. The main entrance is located as close as possible to the ship, making this map popular among players for farming money.
A long staircase leads to the entrance of the complex, from which players drop all the collected scrap for convenient transportation to the ship. However, the planet is considered the most dangerous due to the extremely high spawn rate and a huge number of monsters on the surface. It is recommended to leave the complex no later than 3:00 PM.
The main problem are eyeless dogs, capable of climbing up until they reach the vertical ladder, hindering a safe retreat to the ship. Forest guardians, in turn, can climb even along vertical ladders to the very entrance of the complex.
Inside the complex, a bunker layout is used, as a result, all types of enemies appear very frequently. The extraction of valuable resources can be especially challenging due to the limited space and visibility compared to the mansion layout.
Adamance is a new moon introduced in the latest major update, Lethal Company v50, available to all gamers from the start. It has a danger rating of B, but players can easily access it almost for free. There's plenty of loot here, and you would be quite surprised if we told you that a single run on the moon could earn you more than $1000. However, you will also encounter various enemies inhabiting the planet.
Upon your first landing, navigating the map can be challenging, primarily due to the dense forests. You will quickly get the hang of its layout thanks to our map and detailed description.
Moreover, Adamance will help you unlock an additional, secret moon, which is simply not listed among the available planets in the terminal.
On the map, you can find several key objects, including a mysterious locked house, which grants access to the hidden moon of Artifice. Below, you can see all the markings.
It's not visible on the map, but a forest grows between the ship and the main entrance to the bunker, blocking the entire view. That's why you will likely take some time to get used to the location of objects. Note that regardless of the weather, players will also encounter quicksands, which are quite abundant here.
The locked house is marked on the map. You can enter it using a regular key found in the bunker, or by using a hacking device. There's nothing valuable inside — we didn't find a single piece of loot. It can be used as a shelter if you're trying to hide from monsters on the surface, but originally, this building was intended for other purposes.
On the wall inside the building, you can see graffiti «68-ART». Got what it means? Each moon in Lethal Company has a serial number accompanying its name. Enter this code in the terminal to unlock the secret moon Artifice.
Upon entering «68-ART» in the terminal, the game will ask if you want to pay $1500 to travel to the new planet. Currently, this is the most expensive direction players can choose for exploration.
Inside the Facility, there are numerous enemies, including a vast number of turrets and mines. Dangerous bugs and flea traps also inhabit it. Staying on this moon poses serious risks due to the high danger level.
Away from the Facility, on the moon's surface, you may encounter a large flock of Baboon-hawks, which is not dangerous but is an unusual phenomenon. Outside, you will also meet blind dogs and forest guardians. Additionally, a new type of robot has appeared, increasing the threat level.
In the bunker:
On the surface:
Scrap metal is abundant here. You are likely to find Easter eggs, egg whisks, hair brushes, engines, and other loot. Below is a detailed list of spawn chances for various items:
Artifice, also known as 68-Artifice, is the first secret moon in Lethal Company, introduced with the update v50. If you've read the previous section, you know that to access this planet, you need to visit the strange house on Adamance. However, this is optional if you know the command to input in the terminal to unlock this planet.
To unravel the mystery of Artifice and add it to your maps through the terminal, you first need to discover it by exploring the abandoned house on Adamance. Initially, you will need a regular key, which can be found in the bunker or buy a lockpick in the store.
Tip: Be attentive and watch the time on Adamance. Forest Guardians may start hunting as early as 10 a.m.
Open the cabin instantly with a key or use a lockpick, which will take about 25 seconds. Proceed to the furthest room in the house and inspect the wall to find the clue on the wall: the code «68-Art». Once back on the ship, enter the moon's code into the terminal. You will then be offered to travel to the planet, after paying 1500 credits.
Artifice is a relatively small moon with a desert landscape, dominated by one large complex and four major warehouses located nearby:
Access to the medical warehouse and other rooms is possible both through the main entrances and through secret ones. Inside the buildings, there are switches that allow controlling the door locks.
Inside the medical warehouse, there is a small office, followed by a spacious room filled with beds and partitions. There is also a pantry and a passage leading to the Empty Warehouse.
Initially, the Empty Warehouse can only be accessed through the back entrance or through the adjacent warehouse. However, once inside, its front doors can be opened in the usual way using a switch.
Although the Locked Warehouse has a back door, it will always be blocked by a stone, regardless of how the landscape is generated.
Apart from the large buildings, on the eastern part of the moon, there is a small hut with a hole in the wall. By passing through it in a crouched position, you can find your way back to your ship and quickly reach it.
The entrance to the central complex is located north of the landing site, and it can be noticed immediately after disembarking from the ship. Walking a short distance from the landing zone to the entrance, you will pass by several warehouses. At night, two powerful lanterns at the entrance to the complex serve not only as location indicators of the building but also provide additional lighting.
Although the complex is impressively sized, its emergency exit is easy to find. It is located on the right side of the main building when facing the entrance.
Since this moon has decent supplies of scrap metal, the monsters here are accordingly challenging. You will most commonly encounter bunker spiders, brackens, collector beetles, butlers, nutcrackers, and other unpleasant entities.
The interior space of the Artifice complex is characterized by increased danger, but the distribution of creatures within it is quite uniform. Initially, you may encounter the Mansion interior, although the chance of encountering the Factory interior is also quite significant, at approximately 23%. Below is a list of all monsters and their chance of appearing.
On the site:
On the surface:
Outside the complex, the primary danger is the Old Bird (Robot), although other creatures such as the Earth Leviathan can sometimes be encountered. Old Birds appear at their locations immediately after your arrival on the Moon and remain dormant until awakened by one of two events: the arrival of 15:00 in-game time or the removal of the device.
Various rooms offer the opportunity to use them as shelters or for trapping creatures. To do this, you can lure a creature into one of the rooms, lead it to an alternative exit, then quickly leave the room through another exit and, moving forward, use the switch to close the door behind you.
On this Moon, unlike more complex ones like Rend, during daytime, you can also encounter creatures such as manticoils and assembly bees, appearing with regular frequency.
This planet predominantly spawns valuable items. Understandably, since the cost of visiting the moon is 1500 credits.
Embryo is the latest new map in the v50 update. The resources available on Embryo are not of high value, complicating the task for players. Besides the fact that a flight to the moon costs only 150 credits, the high threat level «S» makes its exploration risky. It's a very strange map because you won't find any profit here — only death.
The only aspect of Embryo that can be called «simple» is its layout. But, in our opinion, this is more of a trap, as there are practically no shelters on the territory, except for rare rocks scattered around the area. And you will encounter a lot of enemies here and most likely just won't be able to bring the found loot to the ship.
Map markers:
Apart from the Old Birds, you will encounter very frequent meetings with blind dogs and earth leviathans. A small consolation might be the fact that Old Birds attack any creature in their path, including even forest guardians. You can use this to your advantage, but don't think that mechs will ignore your presence.
In the bunker:
On the surface:
Scrap metal is in short supply here. If you find anything, it will likely be very cheap loot. And getting it to the ship will be even more challenging, as mechs waiting outside will destroy everything in their path. Below is a full list of items and the chance of their appearance on the site:
