While exploring distant planets and their satellites, you will inevitably encounter monsters of different kinds that inhabit these places. Among them are harmless creatures as well as extremely dangerous beings. In this guide, we have compiled a complete bestiary of Lethal Company. It will help you identify the type of monster, including by sound, how to kill them, and which enemies are immortal.

Please note: the game is in early access, so the monsters' abilities may change over time. If this happens, we will update the guide.

Harmless Monsters

In this category, you will find various creatures that do not pose a threat to players. You can kill them, but there is no point. Just ignore them.

Manticoil

Ordinary birds. They do not attack players and scatter as soon as you get close.

Roaming Locusts

Small groups of insects that can be found on any planet and roam the surface. They are afraid of players, so they try to stay away from them.

Monsters That Attack in Response

These aliens never attack first but will defend themselves if you hit them or get too close.

Hoarding Bug

Loot gatherers. You can try to take the loot found by the monsters for yourself, but in this case, the bugs will attack the hero. Note that they do not pose a significant threat.

Spore Lizard

Despite the scary appearance of this monster, it is not dangerous. If you get close, the lizard may bite you and release a smoke cloud through which nothing will be visible. In this case, you will have to run away quickly.

Baboon Hawk

Strong birds that mind their own business and are not dangerous to you. However, they can become aggressive if you get within striking distance.

Hygrodere

A turquoise puddle of slime that dissolves everything like acid. It cannot be killed, but it is easy to bypass. If desired, Hygrodere can be distracted with music.

Circuit Bee

Typically, they reside near the hive and will only attack you if you approach their «home». However, the hive can be sold for a good price, so you'll likely want to disturb the bees. We recommend being cunning and following our advice:

  • Arrange to start hunting the bees together with one player or a group of gamers. You'll distract the insects while your allies approach the hive and take it. Or vice versa.
  • After you steal the hive, the bees will become aggressive, start flying around the planet, and sting everyone indiscriminately. Therefore, it's recommended to hunt them before you leave the satellite.

Aggressive (Deadly) Monsters

Aliens that deliberately attack players regardless of your actions. Some of them attack immediately, while others set traps, wait in ambush, or attack from behind.

Bracken

Bracken is not the only pseudonym for this creature. It's also called The Flower Man and The Shadow Man. It's not the most dangerous enemy in the game, but if you don't follow our recommendations, you could die by its hand.

The peculiarity of Bracken is that it always hides in the darkness. You can only spot this plant-bodied monster by the light of its eyes. It will follow you and wait for an opportunity to attack. Try not to turn your back on it, or you'll face a swift death. It's better to look Bracken straight in the eyes. This will stop him for a short while.

However, looking too long will provoke The Flower Man to attack. So, you should look into its eyes briefly, no more than 4 seconds at a time, to momentarily stun the monster. As a result, you'll have a chance to retreat. It's better to back away towards your spaceship, facing the monster, so you don't miss the moment of attack from its side. And don't forget to occasionally throw a quick glance in its direction. Fighting Bracken in open combat is futile.

Coil-Head

Another monster that requires you to look into its eyes. But in this case, it's important not to look away, or it will kill the player. Light-noise grenades will help you in the fight against Coil-Heads.

Snare Flea

These aliens set up an ambush on the ceiling. As soon as you're underneath them, they'll jump down on the player and try to strangle. In this case, it's desirable to have an ally's help. If the flea fails to kill the player, they will pursue him and attack. But once the element of surprise is gone, the monsters will no longer pose a significant threat. At this point, you can either run away or engage in open combat.

Bunker Spiders

Like fleas, they enjoy setting traps. The spiders lay their webs and wait for an unlucky traveler to fall into them. You can cut through the web, but doing so will guarantee an attack from the arachnids. It takes only a few hits for them to overcome a player. It's advisable to blind the spider with a light-noise grenade first, then attack it. Or better yet, avoid the arthropod's habitat altogether.

If necessary, you can jump onto the railings. In this case, the monsters won't be able to reach you. But it's important not to jump over them.

Thumpers

Deaf creatures that can be identified by their annoying sound. However, if they notice you, they will pursue you until they kill you. If you can't bypass them, try to climb to a higher ground. If you have to retreat, change direction suddenly during movement. In many cases, the Thumper will continue running forward due to inertia.

Jester

Fighting this monster consists of three phases. In the first, it pursues the player but does not attack. In the second, to the tune of suspenseful music, it begins preparing to attack. And in the third phase, a skull flies out of the Jester, instantly killing the player if it hits them. The cycle will repeat until you leave the planet. We recommend not taking risks and retreating to the spaceship during the first phase.

Girl

Beneath this harmless name lies an extremely dangerous mutant. It sees and attacks only one person, but other players cannot help their ally. Therefore, as soon as you see the Girl, return to the spaceship and leave the planet. Otherwise, she will definitely kill your partner or you.

Mimic

Appears on planets randomly. It disguises itself as players but hides its face, which is covered by a black-and-white mask. Typically, the monster aims to get as close to a player as possible and then attacks them. The deceased will turn into a mimic controlled by artificial intelligence. If you can identify it in advance, getting rid of the alien is not difficult—it takes just three hits in melee. Note that a living player can also become a mimic if they wear a «funny mask.»

Nutcrackers

This alien resembles an 18th-century soldier. It attacks players from a distance using a rifle. To kill the Nutcracker, you can use the Zap Gun in conjunction with a shovel. To defeat the monster, you will need to hit it four times.

Human Flesh

A player who wears the «sad mask» can transform into this monster. In this case, they will be considered dead, and control over their disfigured body will be taken by the computer. If it manages to kill someone, the victim of artificial intelligence will also turn into Human Flesh.

Eyeless Dog

An extremely dangerous predator that hunts only at night. The dogs are blind but have good hearing, so try not to run or speak aloud until they notice you. Otherwise, they will call the entire pack for help. Theoretically, they can be eliminated, but it is extremely difficult to do so, especially in the early stages. Moreover, the monsters can set up ambushes for players, including on your ship. To prevent this, do not forget to close the door.

Forest Keeper

A huge nocturnal monster that looks like a large tree. If you spot it in the forest, freeze and wait until it looks away. Fighting it is futile. When the Keeper starts looking in another direction, quickly return to the ship.

Earth Leviathan

An underground giant. It can only be detected on the computer during the dark hours. Before the monster appears on the surface, the signal will strengthen and a loud noise will be heard. If you hear it, drop your load and run back from the original direction. Try to make it to the spaceship. The Leviathan is immortal and kills all players who fail to leave the planet.
