Where to Find All Relics (Sword Hilts) in God of War: Ragnarok
In God of War: Ragnarok, you can find 14 relics, also known as sword hilts. If you find them all, you will receive the Collector trophy. This guide will tell you where they are located.
Attention! This guide may contain spoilers!
If you missed any of the relics during your 100% playthrough, refer to the list below. You will need Lost Pages to craft some of them at the blacksmith, as well as unique materials dropped by certain enemies. Relics and hilts are the same; the game just refers to them differently.
None of the relics can be missed; you can obtain them all after completing the story in free roam. If you didn't pick up an item dropped by an enemy, it will automatically be placed in the blue chest at the blacksmith's. You can retrieve it from there at any time.
You can check which relics have been found by opening the menu section Weapons — Relics. Use the hilts in combat by pressing L1 + Circle. Relics and sword hilts in God Of War: Ragnarok are special moves that Kratos must use against hordes of enemies. Each is very powerful and unique in use, but they have a cooldown period. Only one relic can be equipped at a time. In this guide, they are listed in the same order as in the game menu, so you can easily compare them with your list.
To learn about unique crafting materials, open the section Codex — Resources — Unique Resources. Remember, you will also need Lost Pages collectibles for crafting; otherwise, the relics won't appear for crafting at the blacksmith.
Where to Find Hilt of Dainsleif
Crafted from Svefnthorn, which can be obtained after battling the mini-boss Ormstunga at the end of Alberich Hollow. Lost Pages are also required to make the item available in the blacksmith shop.
This hilt allows you to strike the ground, creating an explosion that affects nearby enemies. They will take damage while remaining in the area.
Where to Find Hilt of Skofnung
Dropped by the optional boss Hrolf in Midgard, King's Grave. You can only battle this boss after completing all Berserker Gravestones.
This hilt releases a power that gives Kratos a boost in strength.
Where to Find Hilt of Angrvadall
Crafted from Skirnir's Gambanteinn, which drops from the boss Gravel Belly in the side quest The Desert Door. Lost Pages are also required to make the item available in the blacksmith shop.
This hilt allows Kratos to release 3 waves of light forward, dealing damage to enemies.
Where to Find Hilt of Ridill
Crafted from Crackle of Bilskirnir, which drops from the mini-boss Olaf Nautson in the side quest Animal Instincts. Lost Pages are also required to make the item available in the blacksmith shop.
This hilt, when used by Kratos, can summon a wave that electrifies enemies, making them vulnerable to attacks.
Where to Find Glaive of Dodher
Automatically dropped as a reward from the story boss Fiske in the main quest The Reckoning.
This relic has the ability with which Kratos can throw the Bifrost chakram, flying at enemies.
Where to Find Huldra Project #9
Created at any blacksmith shop in the Special Items — Relics section. Costs 10,000 Hacksilver.
This relic is very unusual as it turns Mimir into a weapon. Using it, the character shoots Bifrost rays at nearby enemies.
Where to Find Mystical Heirloom
Located in Midgard, in the Lake of Nine region. The item can be taken from behind a breakable ice wall, into which you need to throw a spear. The relic lies on the ground next to a Lore Scroll and a frozen corpse.
This relic is quite unusual and has no practical combat application.
Where to Find Hilt of Forsbrandr
You must find all 48 of Odin's Ravens to unlock 6 legendary chests in Niflheim, The Raven Tree. After that, a boss named The Raven Keeper appears. Descend down the hill and turn right, onto the arena. Defeat this boss, and a relic will drop from it.
This powerful relic allows pushing enemies away with force and grants Kratos a protective aura.
Where to Find Hilt of Tyrfing
Crafted from Nar's Cup, which drops from the mini-boss Blatonn in The Abandoned Village. Lost Pages are also required to make the item available in the blacksmith shop.
Using this relic allows Kratos to take greater risks for a bigger reward. He charges his weapon, sacrificing health and dealing increased damage depending on the amount of health lost.
Where to Find Talisman of Meign
Automatically obtained during the main mission The Quest for Tyr. This is the first relic you will receive.
This talisman can grant Kratos a melee damage bonus for a short time.
Where to Find Hilt of Gram
Can be taken from a legendary chest in Alfheim, Temple of Light.
The hilt grants Kratos a fury explosion and stuns nearby enemies.
Where to Find Hilt of Hrotti
Drops from the second of three mini-bosses, Oath Guards, that you kill in Vanaheim, The Plains. In the region, you can encounter 3 such enemies, who look like armored knights. It doesn't matter which two out of the three you kill. The second one will definitely drop this relic.
This item marks nearby enemies, and attacking reduces the cooldown of runes on any equipped weapon. Killing a marked enemy also grants Kratos a rune blessing.
Where to Find Motsognir's Call
Can be found in Niflheim, Aesir Prison Wreckage. The item is located to the left of the legendary chest, on the top floor of the prison. The artifact can be easily missed, but you can return for it at any time. This area becomes accessible only after a new path is opened by the story, which is located to the left of The Raven Tree in Niflheim.
The relic creates a shockwave that stuns surrounding enemies.
Where to Find Hilt of Hofud
Automatically obtained from the boss Heimdall in the Creatures of Prophecy mission.
This hilt is unique and unusual as it can distort space and time, causing a Realm Shift.
These are all 14 relics (sword hilts) in God of War: Ragnarok. After finding the last one, you will receive the Collector achievement.
