The Last Day of Remuria in Genshin Impact: How to Break the Chains Binding Scylla

«The Last Day of Remuria» is a new quest in the «Ode to Harmony» quest series in Genshin Impact. In this adventure, players will explore the newly opened Ancient Sea area and free a powerful being bound by chains. Our guide will tell you how to successfully complete this quest and what unique rewards await for completing the mission.

The quest begins immediately after talking to Ossia in the hall with the fresco. There you can also find the second Ancient Score. To continue with the quest, approach the arch next to which a cat is sitting, and enter the new region.

After the cutscene ends, you will receive the «Capitol Symphony» achievement and will be able to activate the teleport waypoints available in this region. Here you will also find quite a lot of chests and hydroculus, but now we will focus on completing the story mission.

To free the huge creature, you will have to get rid of the chains that bind it. Simply follow the glowing rays. One of them will lead you to a nearby cave, where several golems will be waiting.

Now go up to the stone statue and hold down the elemental skill button to break the chain. Before leaving, don't forget to check the rich chest that appeared right in front of the character.

The next chain stand is in the water, not far from Scylla. When you find it, Paimon will note that everything is entangled with a strange plant.

To solve this simple puzzle, you will again need to use a new ability. Find the resonating anemones and spiral octopuses swimming around the plants on the bottom. You need to interact with the latter at the moment they are swimming within the action radius of their anemones.

Doing this, the plant on the stand will disappear, and you will be able to break the chain and inspect the contents of the precious chest.

The last chain is located in a cave guarded by a small group of golems led by the Nameless Golem. Negotiating with them, as with the first group, won't be possible.

Eliminate the last chain, examine the precious chest, and before leaving, you can break the stones in the far left part of the cave to obtain a hydroculus. When you're ready, return to the creature and watch the lengthy cutscene. Scylla will offer to open the stone door, but you don't have to agree right now. If you want to continue exploring the area, choose «I need to prepare...».

At this point, a QTE starts, and players need to press the indicated key on the screen in time.

Try to keep up with the creature and use the camera to dodge obstacles. Some can only be destroyed with Scylla's help — for this, also press the buttons that appear on the screen.

Eventually, you will reach the Golden Palace, where the quests «The Stairway to the Capitol» and «Restoring the Golden Path» will begin.
