Best Builds for Xiao in Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is an open-world action role-playing game that can be played for free. Although you can have up to 24 characters in your group, only some of them can be obtained through the main story. Many characters can only be unlocked by making wishes or purchasing them in the shop. Here's how to get Xiao in Genshin Impact.
Xiao is a fantastic character for your team if you're looking for someone who can deal significant damage with weapon and melee attacks.
Unfortunately, getting him in your group is a matter of chance. You can obtain him as a reward for wishes, just like you can get other characters.
If you open the Wishes menu, you'll see several banners with different characters. Check if Xiao is there, then try to get him.
The wishing mechanic becomes available after reaching Adventure Rank 5 and talking to the Knights of Favionius in Mondstadt, the first major city you visit in the story.
To use these wishes, you'll first need to acquire Acquaint Fates and Intertwined Fates. If you need more of these items, you can always purchase them with the in-game currency called Primogens, which are found in the game, or buy them in the shop.
Until February 17th, Xiao is available in the Invitation to Mundane Life Wish. He is joined by three four-star characters that were already in the game: Diona, Beidou, and Xinyan. This banner will be available until February 17th, when it will be replaced by the Lantern Rite, featuring Keqing as the main character.
You are guaranteed to pull a five-star character after 90 consecutive attempts. Without the increased chance, the possibility of pulling Xiao is 0.6 percent.
Character Overview
Xiao is a fighter who uses polearm weapons. While his skill Bane of All Evil is active, Xiao wears a mask that depletes his health but increases his damage and attack range. He is also an Anemo fighter and deals wind damage alongside his regular attacks.
Best Build for Xiao
Since Xiao's abilities can turn his normal attacks into Anemo attacks, the build should focus on enhancing his attack stats to make this transformation even more lethal.
Best Weapon: Primordial Jade Winged-Spear. When hitting an enemy, this weapon gains an attack power increase of 3.2% for six seconds. The effect can stack up to seven times and can occur every 0.3 seconds. A fully upgraded spear gives a 24% damage increase.
Alternative Weapon: Halberd. This three-star weapon is a budget alternative for increasing Xiao's damage. One attack every ten seconds will deal an additional 160% damage or 320% damage at full spear level upgrade. Lasts for only one attack and does not stack.
Artifacts: Gladiator's Finale. 2 pieces increase attack power by 18%. 4 pieces increase normal attack damage by 35% if the character is using a one-handed, two-handed, or polearm weapon.
If you do not have enough artifacts from the Gladiator's Finale set, you can use a mix of 2 pieces from Gladiator's Finale and 2 pieces from the Bloodstained Chivalry set, which will give an additional 18% attack damage and 25% physical damage.
