Everything about Venti in Genshin Impact: Builds, Artifacts, Weapons, Abilities, and How to Get
In Genshin Impact, there are a multitude of characters, each wielding different weapons and abilities. Venti is an excellent addition to the team, capable of taking on the role of a support hero or dealing significant damage. The wandering bard offers a variety of gameplay strategies. This guide will detail who Venti is, how you can obtain him, and provide examples of builds that maximize the potential of this five-star character.
How to get Venti in Genshin Impact
Given that Venti is a five-star character, he is an extremely rare reward. You need to use the time-limited Ballad in Goblets prayer. The chances of getting the character are a meager 0.6 percent.
But thanks to the Genshin Impact 1.4 update, you will have a chance to get him until April 6th. His drop rate is increased, so now is the time to add him to your team.
As a support character with long-range attack, Venti is best kept at the maximum possible distance, dealing damage. And since he is Anemo, his skills complement this approach. Skyward Sonnet can detain enemies, helping to maintain distance from opponents. Venti can soar into the air and glide to a safe location to escape. Wind's Grand Ode is the perfect combination of crowd control and dealing continuous damage.
Venti is better suited for a support role. His skills are more oriented towards allowing characters with high damage to deal additional damage. However, Venti also has the ability to deal significant damage himself, so we've also included a great damage build.
Active Talents
Divine Marksmanship
- Normal Attack: up to six shots with a bow;
- Charged Attack: a more precise aimed shot with increased damage. While aiming, the arrowhead charges with divine wind. A fully wind-charged arrow deals Anemo damage;
- Plunging Attack: dives down from the air, attacking all enemies in its path. Upon landing, deals AoE damage.
Skyward Sonnet
- Press: summons the power of wind, dealing AoE Anemo damage and launching enemies into the air;
- Hold: summons an even greater wind power around Venti. It deals AoE Anemo damage and launches affected enemies into the air. This version of the skill lifts Venti into the air. Enemies launched by Skyward Sonnet slowly descend to the ground.
Wind's Grand Ode
Releasing an arrow made of countless winds, summons a huge storm eye that pulls in enemies, continuously dealing Anemo damage to them.
- Elemental Absorption: upon contact with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro elements, the storm eye deals additional damage of that element. For each use, the skill can absorb only one element.
Passive Talents
- Embrace of Winds: Holding the Skyward Sonnet skill creates a wind current that lasts for 20 seconds;
- Stormeye: After using Wind's Grand Ode, it regenerates 15 energy for Venti. If an element is absorbed, it also regenerates 15 energy for all party members whose element matches the absorbed element;
- Windrider: Decreases stamina consumption of the active character during gliding by 20%. Does not stack with passive talents that provide the same effects.
Constellations
- Splitting Gale: Each aimed shot fires two additional arrows. Each additional arrow deals 33% of the damage of the first arrow;
- Breeze of Reminiscence: Using Skyward Sonnet decreases Anemo and physical resistance of enemies by 12% for 10 seconds. Also temporarily lowers Anemo and physical resistance of enemies lifted by this skill by 12%;
- Ode to Thousand Winds: Increases the level of Wind's Grand Ode by 3. Maximum level: 15;
- Hurricane of Freedom: Elemental orbs and particles collected by Venti grant him a 25% Anemo DMG Bonus for 10 seconds;
- Concerto dal Cielo: Increases the level of Skyward Sonnet by 3. Maximum level: 15;
- Storm of Defiance: Lowers Anemo resistance of enemies hit by Wind's Grand Ode by 20%. If an element is absorbed, it also lowers resistance to that absorbed element by 20%.
Support Character Build
Thanks to this Anemo-based build, Venti's energy recharge capability is significantly increased, minimizing the cooldown of his elemental burst skill, Wind's Grand Ode. You will create numerous storms that can be enhanced by other elements, thus tearing apart all enemies inside the storm.
Weapon
The Stringless: Increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage by 24%/30%/36%/42%/48%.
Favonius Warbow: Critical hits have a 60%/70%/80%/90%/100% chance to generate an elemental particle, which regenerates 6 energy. Occurs once every 12/10.5/9/7.5/6 seconds.
Artifacts
The Exile: 2-piece set: increases Energy Recharge by 20%. 4-piece set: using an Elemental Burst regenerates 2 Energy for other party members (but not the character using it) every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. This effect cannot stack.
Viridescent Venerer: 2-piece set: increases Anemo DMG Bonus by 15%. 4-piece set: increases Swirl DMG by 60%. When Swirl reacts with another element, it also decreases the enemy's resistance to that corresponding element by 40% for 10 seconds.
This build reduces skill cooldowns while simultaneously improving energy recharge and helping to spam attacks as often as possible.
Maximum Damage Build
With the right items, Venti can shoot charged arrows that deal high damage. Using this build, you will need to be particularly good at hitting enemies' weak spots with charged shots, as the choice of weapon suggests this tactic.
Weapon
Compound Bow: Normal and Charged Attacks increase ATK by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% and ATK SPD by 1.2% / 1.5% / 1.8% / 2.1% / 2.4% for 6 seconds. The effect can stack up to 4 times. Can occur once every 0.3 seconds.
Sharpshooter's Oath: Increases DMG against enemies' weak spots by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48%.
Artifacts
Wanderer's Troupe: 2-piece set: increases Elemental Mastery by 80. 4-piece set: increases Charged Attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or a Bow.
Using fully charged shots to take down targets one by one from a distance, this build becomes significantly stronger when you unlock Venti's first constellation star. It also makes the character more versatile at close range.
Mixed Build
Weapon
The Stringless: increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48%.
Royal Bow: Hitting an enemy increases CRIT Rate by 8%. The effect can stack up to 5 times. The increased CRIT Rate is removed upon scoring a CRIT Hit.
Artifacts
Viridescent Venerer: 2-piece set: increases Anemo DMG Bonus by 15%. 4-piece set: increases Swirl DMG by 60%. When Swirl reacts with another element, it also decreases the enemy's resistance to that corresponding element by 40% for 10 seconds.
Berserker: 2-piece set: increases CRIT Rate by 12%.
Gladiator's Finale: 2-piece set: increases ATK by 18%.
Depending on the chosen weapon and artifacts, this build for Venti retains some supportive abilities while providing a decent boost to damage output and critical hit rate.
