As with previous Ubisoft games, the developers of Far Cry 6 have scattered a multitude of various collectible items across the map, including roosters. Finding them will require players to thoroughly explore every area of the map. In this guide, we'll tell you about all the roosters and where they can be found.
The game features 19 roosters, and collecting them all will grant an in-game achievement. To earn the trophy, you only need to collect 13 of these collectible animals. The remaining 6 birds can be activated as a free reward in Ubisoft Connect, and doing so is entirely optional.
Although the roosters are collectible items, they can be used in the cockfighting arena at Montero Farm. After acquiring a new bird, it can be selected and used as your fighter. Before the fight begins in the ring, players can learn the names of each animal to get hints about their locations.
By default, all the roosters are not marked on the world map, so players can learn the location of the birds for 300 credits of in-game paid currency after leaving the starting island. After completing the game, every bird can be collected in free mode. For an easier search for missing roosters, simply refer to the corresponding game menu:
When approaching the location of a collectible bird, a white box icon will appear on the mini-map. Note that some roosters can only be obtained after completing the corresponding side quest. It is also recommended to clear the map of all anti-aircraft sites first, to activate the possibility of parachuting from allied points. Moreover, it will be easier for the hero to use flying machines.
After completing the main story mission Meet the Monteros, players will gain access to the main hideout in the region. Approach the man who is involved in cockfighting. To his right, there is a chest with the first bird.
This rooster can be obtained during or after completing the side quest Feathered Fight. In this mission, players will have to search for spurs for the rooster Elvis. Reach the marker and descend into the underground bunker, which from this point will always be open.
In the large room before meeting the army of roosters, we find a storage with the collectible bird.
We head to Losania in the settlement of Verdera. In the eastern part of the town, on the outskirts, we find the animal near a hut with a straw roof.
We parachute onto the Cortina weather station or use a helicopter. We fly across the river and land on the mountain slightly west of the hunting ground for Yaran crocodiles.
We go to the Valle de Oro region and head to Castillo National Zoo. This territory is under military control. We find the rooster in an open chicken coop with a straw roof.
We head to the poultry farm south of Yara Botanical Garden. We inspect the backyard behind the blue building and take the collectible bird from the box, near which lies a dead animal.
We parachute into the Conjunto hideout and head west on a wingsuit. We fly to the Orchid villa and go to the eastern part of the restricted area. We climb into the roofless room, which stores hay, and take the box with the bird.
We go to the settlement of Segunda and inspect its western side, which is fully built up with various ranches. On the farm with a metal mesh fence, we find the collectible bird.
We head to the La Joya region to the DPD department, which is located a bit north of the Habanera hideout. We enter the large building and go up to the second floor. Break the lock and in the previously locked room, we find another rooster.
You can also get to the bird from the street using a Grapple. For this, we climb onto the roof and jump inside the room through an opening.
This collectible bird can be obtained as a reward for completing the side quest Something to Lose. To activate the mission, head to the Conuco region in El Este. Land at the Habanera hideout and move west to the farm. After talking to the woman, the player will have to visit four ranches and complete simple tasks.
Farmer Arrese will ask for help with a fighting rooster. Enter the house, find the key, and collect the collectible bird in the barn. After that, it is necessary to complete the quest to save the reward.
We head to the Savannah fields, located northeast of the Patriots Peak, the main camp of the 67th Legends. Move to the furthest ranch on the west. In one of the pens, a crate with the rooster is hidden.
This bird can be found while completing the Man's Best Frenemy quest, where the player must follow the fighting rooster Chicharron and protect him from enemies. It's not necessary to activate this mission to reach the collectible animal.
The player just needs to get to Alvarez's farm at any time and collect the bird. Move from the central checkpoint on the coast of Vasia northwest into the mountains until you reach the ranch. Collect the animal from the cage, which is located in a broken wagon.
This section contains six roosters that can only be obtained by activating the corresponding reward in Ubisoft Connect. To do this, follow these steps:
