Best Boons in Hades 2
Boons in Hades 2 are special sets of enhancements that you will unlock as you progress through locations and the storyline. The game features over 100 different boosts, each offering new ways to improve your hero according to your playstyle. Below we have described the best Boons, divided into categories.
It's also important to know that such boosts can be combined. Boons received from one deity can be accumulated, leading to an even more powerful and rare enhancement. For example, if you particularly liked the amplifiers from Apollo or Artemis, it is recommended to choose locations marked with their symbols in the future.
Boons for Enhancing Basic Attacks
The best boosts for increasing attacks or adding additional effects to your strikes can be found with Zeus, Hephaestus, and Aphrodite. Here is the optimal list of Boons that will suit literally everyone:
- Heavenly Strike (Zeus): Your attacks impose an effect of discharge on enemies. After activating the gift, enemies will receive a status effect, after which they will start receiving damage from lightning discharges (120 damage over 3 seconds);
- Agitated Strike (Aphrodite): Your attacks deal more damage to nearby enemies. This gift will increase the heroine's damage at close range by 80% for common rarity and 140% for heroic;
- Volcanic Strike (Hephaestus): Your attacks periodically cause an explosion, dealing 200 area damage. Additionally, the passive ability of the perk will reduce the recharge time of the charge.
Boons for Enhancing Special Attacks
Boosts in this section are focused on enhancing alternative attacks. They can be found with Hestia, Hephaestus, and Demeter:
- Flaming Sweep (Hestia): Hits with special attacks ignite enemies. Such opponents will receive damage over time;
- Icy Sweep (Demeter): The gift increases the damage from your special attacks and freezes monsters for a few seconds after dealing damage;
- Volcanic Sweep (Hephaestus): Your special attacks periodically cause an explosion, dealing 400 area damage. It is great for fighting large groups of enemies, as well as in battles with bosses.
Boons for Enhancing Spells and Sigils
The Boons in this list enhance your magical attacks — sigils and spells. You'll find them with Apollo, Zeus, Hermes, and Artemis:
- Thunderous Ring (Zeus): Your sigil (omega) also summons lightning, which periodically strikes one of the enemies. At the base level, any random enemy will receive 30 damage every 0.25 seconds;
- Solar Ring (Apollo): This gift adds area damage. For two seconds after using omega, every nearby enemy will receive up to 25 damage every 0.13 seconds;
- Super Nova (Apollo): Allows you to increase the effectiveness of your spells until their duration expires, up to 70% at heroic rarity.
Boons for Enhancing Sprint
Such bonuses are aimed at increasing running speed, as well as obtaining additional effects during sprinting. Poseidon, Apollo, Hestia, and Hermes possess phenomenal Boons, such as:
- Nitroboost (Hermes): A simple but effective gift that will increase your running speed by 20% and create a barrier that protects the hero from damage;
- Ashen Sprint (Hestia): While running, you reflect most of the enemy's long-range attacks and ignite enemies who used them. This is a very useful gift, as it can absorb most projectiles flying at you, and also deal fire damage to enemies who released those projectiles.
- Storm Sprint (Poseidon): You deal damage to enemies when you bump into them while running, and also push them away. Each hit consumes 5 units of mana. Useful in levels with a large number of weak enemies (for example, when exploring the Ocean).
Boons for Accelerating Magic Recovery
Magical Boons are aimed at accelerating the hero's magic recovery, allowing you to use charged and magical attacks more often. Poseidon, Demeter, Zeus, and Hestia offer some of the best enhancers in the game:
- Fiery Enhancement (Hestia): Quickly restores mana, but health decreases by 20%;
- Flowing Enhancement (Poseidon): Defeating an enemy with a weapon, you may receive a spirit sphere. Picking up this sphere, you instantly restore 20 units of mana and can continue to spam charged attacks;
- Calm Enhancement (Demeter): Quickly restores mana if you stop moving for at least one second. Best used before the next battle.
