Where to Get Nectar in Hades 2

There are not so many places where you can get nectar. We can highlight the main three: battle rewards, the Fated List, and the Wretched Broker. Let's go through them one by one.

The Wretched Broker

This character will not be available from the start of the game. To make him appear at the Crossroads, you first need to collect a certain amount of resources and create the spell Summon Wealth of Goods. Note that the broker may not appear immediately, but after several runs.

After each completed run, the broker will have one unit of nectar available for purchase. You will just need to buy the item for a certain amount of bones. This is the simplest method, but at the same time — the slowest. If you need more nectar, you will have to resort to other methods.

The Fated List

The Fated List is a good way to spontaneously get several units of nectar, especially if you weren't even aware of it. Of course, nectar is not a reward for all tasks. To unlock the list, create the spell Fate's Intervention: in the Cauldron of Hecate.

Battle Rewards

The main method of obtaining nectar in Hades 2 is through participation in battles, however, there are certain nuances here. Nectar acts as a battle trophy, which implies the need to forgo other types of rewards. You will have to make a choice between gifts, resources, increasing maximum health, and so on. It's important to realize that choosing locations with nectar effectively reduces your character's combat abilities during the current run. Regularly preferring such locations will most likely lead to an early end of the run.

As you develop your character, unlocking new skills and improving characteristics, the process of obtaining nectar for victories in battles will become easier. But don't worry about this: even after defeating all bosses, the game implies your return to the beginning, as this is part of its concept.

Charon

Another method to acquire nectar is purchasing it from the merchant Charon. Charon's assortment of goods changes randomly, and nectar is not always available. Therefore, if you see it for sale, feel free to buy it. However, remember that purchasing nectar might force you to forgo other items that could have been more valuable for your current run.

Why Give Nectar?

Gifts of nectar to the gods not only increase their loyalty level but also unlock access to special keepsakes. These keepsakes, which you can carry at the start of each run, provide the player with various bonuses: from mana restoration to the ability to resurrect after death. The game features 25 unique keepsakes, each associated with a specific character.

By giving nectar, you not only strengthen your bond with a deity but also delve deeper into the game's story, uncovering new details about the characters and their histories.
