Interactive map of Wuthering Waves: all challenges, bosses and fast travel points
Wuthering Waves is a new successor to Genshin Impact, offering an open world experience post-catastrophe and allowing players to control a team of superhumans called Resonators. While the game world isn't very large yet, it already hides many mysteries and secrets. In this guide, we'll take a detailed look at the interactive map and all its designations.
What regions are there
There are only two clearly defined biomes so far — forest and desert. However, there are already several major names:
- Desorock Highland;
- Gorges of Spirits;
- Central Plains;
- Jinzhou;
- Wuming Bay;
- Tiger's Maw;
- Dim Forest;
- Whining Aix's Mire;
- Port City of Guixu.
The geography somewhat resembles the initial map of Genshin Impact.
What important objects are on the map
You can explore the map yourself. The first thing to pay attention to are the Resonance Beacons and Resonance Nexus.
These are fast travel points, so it's worth activating them first. The difference between beacons and nexus is that the latter also unlocks part of the territory. It's important to remember that you can't travel to an unexplored area. On the map, these objects are marked as symbols resembling towers in white and bluish colors.
The second symbol looks like a running person and is called Overdash Club.
These are parkour competitions, and you need to complete such challenges for free rewards and upgrades. There are currently 6 of them, but there will definitely be more.
The next type of icons are crossed swords. These are the so-called Forgery Challenge.
They will only open after completing Act 3 of the main story and involve battles with bosses or multiple enemies at once.
Another crossed swords icon, but not in a bluish square, is the Tactical Hologram. These are more challenging battles with previously defeated bosses.
After you defeat all 6 levels of the hologram, it will be closed, and you will receive a one-time reward.
The icon with a snarling dragon's head is the Tacet Field — infected areas that you can periodically cleanse.
Here, too, you will have to destroy a certain number of enemies, and the challenge is recurring.
Forgery Challenges can be confused with Simulation Training.
On the map, they are marked with identical crossed swords icons. You will also have to fight several waves of enemies there.
Icons of various creatures represent bosses. There will be no difficulties here. Each such enemy is unique, and on the map, you can easily determine the location of all.
The last important icon on the map is labeled as Other.
There you will find story objects and buildings, as well as several other interesting places.
What else can be found on the map
Since Wuthering Waves is a clone of Genshin Impact, the game world is full of chests and resources that will definitely come in handy. You can also find common enemies for farming. So far, you can find 8 ascension materials, 10 types of caches, 4 types of ores, 10 types of animals, as many as 26 types of common collectible resources, and 51 types of monsters on the map.
