Guide to Crafting in Once Human: How to Craft Weapons and Armor, Where to Find Resources

Once Human is an exciting multiplayer survival game with an open world, set in a grim post-apocalyptic setting. In this harsh world, players must fight for survival by finding resources, crafting weapons and armor, and battling various threats. Crafting plays a key role in ensuring your safety and combat effectiveness. In this guide, we will detail the crafting mechanics in Once Human, providing useful tips and strategies for creating various items.

How to Craft Weapons and Armor at the Workbench in Once Human

At the very beginning of the game, you are given a crossbow. Bolts fired can be retrieved from enemy corpses, so with proper skill, you can shoot indefinitely. However, its reload time is quite long, and each shot deals little damage. Therefore, the crossbow is only effective at the start of the game. Later, it can be used only as a last resort when you run out of ammo for other weapons. To survive in the world of Once Human, you need to find and upgrade firearms.

First, you need to open the crafting menu and unlock the upgrades Essential Tools and Gear Workbench. This way, you can set up a workbench where you can create weapons. Initially, you can assemble a Desert Eagle pistol and a baseball bat.

To unlock other basic firearms, you will need the perks Basic Gear and Long-Range Firepower. For better weapons, you need special blueprints. To obtain them, you need to complete seasonal activities, search crates in settlements, and activate the Wish Machine. Note that the last option is the only way to get particularly valuable golden blueprints.

To craft rifles, automatic weapons, and armor sets, open the workbench menu and select the option you need. It will indicate which materials are required for crafting. You will need to search for them in the open world of the game.

Note: We highly recommend unlocking the skill Ammunition Line to craft your own ammunition.

Weapon and Armor Upgrades in Once Human

After crafting weapons or armor, you can calibrate them. To do this, select the corresponding option in your workbench menu. This way, you can improve the equipment's characteristics, such as increasing firearm damage. However, calibration will require additional resources.

In addition, you can install various modifiers. These include sniper scopes, extended magazines, silencers, and much more. You will find these items while exploring the open world.

Resource Gathering and Material Crafting in Once Human

While exploring the area, looting corpses, and completing quests, you will come across valuable parts and various junk. Do not neglect them. With the perk Disassembly Techniques, you can create a special station that recycles trash into useful resources. Some materials can only be obtained by converting one raw material into another. To increase the number of materials obtained, activate the skill Advanced Tools.

First, search various landmarks. The skill Pulse will highlight items that can be collected. We recommend upgrading basic tools to gather more resources. The ability Resource Detectors will help you find them faster. And don't forget to increase your backpack size at the workbench so you can carry more items.

To work with various metals, from copper to iron, you will need a smelter and the perk Electric Furnace.
