In Black Myth: Wukong, you can choose your own playstyle for a successful playthrough. Gamers will need special items and their own armor. However, it can be difficult not to miss the best items as you progress through the story. Let's take a look at some of them.
Note: We are still supplementing this material.
The most unusual mythical armor in the game because it activates character stat boosts when taking damage. It pairs well with other consumable items related to poisoning.
The armor skills are called Poison Protection:
You can craft it by spending the resources listed above. Note that you need to complete the fourth chapter of the storyline to craft these items.
Suitable for speedrunning, as it increases attack based on running and simplifies movement. It has the following skills:
Moreover, if you upgrade the armor's rarity from unusual to mythical, you will be able to gain a small amount of focus points per second while running.
Some of the very first items in the game that can be crafted after defeating the boss Lin Xu-Zi and the Guanyin Temple on Black Wind Mountain, that is, after the first chapter. If you want to upgrade the armor, you will need to unlock the Painted Kingdom after defeating Elder Long in Chapter 3.
After defeating the opponent, head to the altar Basement Shrine at the Crouching Tiger Temple (second chapter) to talk to the NPC Xu Dog and get special medicine for Elder Long. Give it to him, and you will be sent to a new location.
In the Painted Kingdom, you need to find the NPC Tiger Yin, who will upgrade your armor's rarity for units of Will and resources depending on the desired rarity (silk, cold iron sheet, fine golden thread, and heavenly ribbon).
The best mythical items for so-called tank strategies aimed at deflecting almost all enemy blows and using strong counterattacks. It has the skills Unyielding Resolve:
Unfortunately, it is not possible to obtain all items of this armor in one playthrough, as no more than 4 Iron Horns of the Prince with Bull Head can be found, so for a complete set, you will need to repeat the same actions in New Game+.
First, you need to unlock the secret location of the fifth chapter, Bishui Cave. If you haven't done this yet, you can use our guide.
Move to the altar Bishui Cave, Purification Pit, turn around and go down the stairs on the left until you reach the central area. Then cross it to the indicated ascent in the image.
Immediately after the ascent, at the fork, stick to the left path. Run to the rounded area, then head northeast through two enemies. Next, carefully look to your right: there should be a new altar.
Then continue along this road past all the enemies until a chest with one Iron Horn of the Prince with Bull Head appears on the left. Then return to this path and follow it forward for a long time, occasionally veering and crossing a hanging bridge, and at the end slide down to the altar, near which you need to turn right to reach the boss arena. For defeating him, you will receive three Iron Horns of the Prince with Bull Head.
Creating a character to play through this armor is not difficult. If you equip all three items of this set, the duration of the effect from hitting your character is reduced, and the damage you deal with lightning is increased.
Increasing the rarity from the initial epic to mythical will increase the lightning damage to your opponent.
You can craft this armor in the appropriate place immediately after defeating the boss Kan-Jin Star. The boss is mandatory for game progression, so you definitely won't miss him. You can increase the rarity in the same way as with the Pilgrim's Garb.
Armor associated with the use of spirits or artifacts. Its skills are called Golden Glow:
You can craft this armor immediately after finding the first altar in the fourth chapter. No additional storyline conditions are required.
Perfect for those who defeat bosses using the Immobilization technique. It has the following skills:
You can obtain the crafting recipe for this armor if you defeat the first chapter boss named Venerable Elder Jin-Chi. To reach his arena, you need to find three bells beforehand.
It will be useful for players who actively use the Misty Step spell. If you equip all three items of this armor, during the use of this ability, a black wind will continuously attack the enemy. Additionally, increasing its rarity will require more mana expenditure considering the existence of a decoy until its destruction.
Defeat the final boss of the first chapter Black Bear-Guai to have the recipe for this armor appear in your inventory.
Armor that you can get at the very beginning of the game if you purchase its Deluxe edition. You won't need to craft it separately, and if you equip all four items, defeated enemies will drop an increased amount of Units of Will.
Useful for players who want to increase the damage of their attacks on enemies. It has the skill Wrath:
When you complete the fifth chapter of the main story, the recipe for this armor will appear in your inventory, which can be crafted at any altar. No additional efforts are required to obtain it.
If you frequently use dodges quite professionally, using this armor will give you additional enhancements. It has the following skills:
Additionally, upgrading these items to the maximum rarity level will give you the ability to further reduce the cooldown time of all spells.
Move to the altar Stone Plain, Rock of Fear. Turn onto the road to the left of it. Run forward until you see a passage to the arena on the left, where the boss Stone Guardian will be waiting for you. The armor recipe will appear in your inventory after defeating him.

We tried to cover most of the best armor sets in Black Myth: Wukong, available both at the beginning and at the end of the game. It's up to you to decide which one suits your character best. Moreover, in some cases, you may need the most unpopular and less useful armor — as only it will perfectly combine with other items.
