During the playthrough of the recent Silent Hill 2 remake, you will encounter code locks. To find the correct combination, you will need to carefully study the level and understand which specific set of numbers or letters fits the required door or safe. In locked locks, you can find coins used to solve puzzles and keys to open some doors. The need to enter such codes was also present in other games, for example, in the Resident Evil 2 remake or the old Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

Codes for padlocks

They come with a regular display and a rotating mechanism. You need to turn them first in one direction to a certain number, then in the opposite direction. If you make a mistake, start the process again.

Code for room 202 in the Blue Creek apartment complex

Easy difficulty — 5-8-2;
Medium difficulty — 3-7-3;
Hard difficulty — 5-2-2.

Code for the lock on the door to the Reception in Brookhaven Hospital

Easy difficulty — 2-8-7;

Code for the door with insects in the Silent Hill Historical Society

On any difficulty level, there will be a combination of three numbers — 9, 3, and 2. The exact code cannot be specified as it is determined randomly during each playthrough. Possible options: 9-3-2, 9-2-3, 3-9-2, 3-2-9, 2-3-9, and 2-9-3.

Codes for safes

They come with button locks and rotating mechanisms. The principle is the same as for padlocks.

Safe in room 206 in the Wood Side apartment complex

Easy difficulty — 15 to the right, 11 to the left, 13 to the right;
Medium difficulty — 13 to the right, 7 to the left, 11 to the right;
Hard difficulty — 13 to the right, 7 to the left, 11 to the right.

Safe in Pete's Bowl-O-Rama, located in the western part of South Vale. Available only in New Game+.

Safe in Jack's Inn, located in the western part of South Vale

Easy difficulty — 0-4-5-1;
