How to Find All Royal Arms in Final Fantasy 15
The storyline of Final Fantasy 15 often touches on the theme of royal arms, which once belonged to the kings of Lucis. Some weapons will be given to you mandatorily during the course of the game, but all other equipment of this type must be found on your own. Considering that most of the royal weapons are well hidden, we wrote a small guide to make it easier to find them.
Why do you need them? Firstly, this weapon can be used in battle, albeit sparingly (royal equipment drains your health during use). Secondly, you will be able to use the Armiger ability, which becomes stronger with each new royal blade found.
Sword of the Wise
The Sword of the Wise is hidden, quite logically, in the Tomb of the Wise. You will visit it in the second chapter as part of the main quest, so it's quite hard to miss this weapon. Cor will help you find it.
Axe of the Conqueror
This axe will also become yours during the main quest, right after you get the Sword of the Wise. The quest The Power of Kings will begin, and Cor will again help you find the royal weapon, so you won't be able to miss it either.
Swords of the Wanderer
The Swords of the Wanderer can be obtained after completing the quest Sword in the Waterfall in the third chapter. You need to visit the Glacial Grotto right behind the waterfall. It is difficult to enter this cave at night because you can't see where to go, so it's better to visit the location during the day. The passage to the right of the waterfall will help you find the right place.
Blade of the Mystic
The Blade of the Mystic can be found during the quest Archaean in the fourth chapter. It is located, simply enough, in the Tomb of the Mystic. There you will also find Titan, whom you will have to fight. The blade, by the way, is quite powerful.
Katana of the Warrior
It will take a considerable amount of time before you get to the Katana of the Warrior: you will be able to find it only in the 10th chapter, during the quest Hand of the King. For this, you will have to find and visit the Tomb of the Warrior.
Trident of the Oracle
In the 12th chapter, you will receive the quest Breath of the Glacian. The train you are on will stop. When you get it moving again, you will receive the Trident of the Oracle from Gentiana.
Sword of the Father
The last weapon you get through the story is the Sword of the Father. You will find it in the 13th chapter, at the end of the mission The Cure for Insomnia.
Royal Arms That Must Be Found on Your Own
This list contains the weapons that you cannot obtain through the main story. This royal equipment must be found independently. Moreover, some blades from this list are very powerful, which will make your Armiger ability several times stronger.
Star of the Rogue
The Star of the Rogue can be obtained after completing the Myrlwood Dungeon. According to the story, you will be near this dungeon in the 7th chapter. The recommended character level for completing this dungeon is 38. You will receive the star after defeating the boss.
Shield of the Just
Of course, you can't kill anyone with a shield, but that doesn't mean it's useless. You won't even have to go down into dungeons for it, nor will you have to engage in fights with bosses.
To find the location of the shield, you need to head west of the Disc. There, you will find Thommel's Glade. In this location, there is an open tomb where the Shield of the Just lies.
Mace of the Pious
For the Mace of the Pious, unfortunately, you will have to descend into a dungeon again. The crypt where the mace is hidden is located in the Malmalam Thicket, south of the volcano. The recommended level for this dungeon, as with the Star of the Rogue, is 38.
4. Mace of the Fierce
You can find the Mace of the Fierce in a crypt located at the top of the Rock of Ravatogh. The mountain is north of the Malmalam Thicket, where you should have already found the Mace of the Pious.
It's best to descend into the dungeon with at least level 30. The dungeon itself is not particularly difficult to pass, but finding the crypt itself is much harder. Who even thought of building it at the top of a volcano?
Bow of the Clever
The tomb where the Bow of the Clever lies is located in the Balouve Mines dungeon. The mines themselves are near the road leading to Hammerhead, closer to the middle of the western edge of the map. It's hard to miss the dungeon since there are tracks leading to its entrance on the surface.
Don't rush headlong for the bow because the dungeon boss not only has a level of 50 but also fights using ranged attacks. As you can imagine, defeating him will not be easy, especially at early levels.
Greatsword of the Tall
The last weapon on this list is hidden southeast of the Disc, in the Tomb of the Tall. You won't find the sword itself there, but you will get a hint that it was actually stolen and is located in the Costlemark Tower dungeon.
You will get the Greatsword of the Tall last, as it is guarded by a level 58 boss. This is a pretty tough opponent, and you will need to prepare well for the battle. Or at least level up to 50 or higher.
By chapter 13, you will be able to collect all 13 types of royal arms, thereby maximizing your Armiger ability. We hope this guide helps you in conquering Lucis.
