A Sign of Hope: Stalker 2 Quest Walkthrough
When you complete the storyline quest Hot on the Trail in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, a new hideout called Half-Day base will open up for gamers. It is here that you can start a new quest, and we are ready to help you with the walkthrough. In this section of the guide, we will detail how to find the way to the roof and disable the antenna so you can complete this task.
A Sign of Hope
Head to the Boatman's laboratory, located northeast of the Half-Day hideout. Once you reach the place, enter inside, and immediately on the left side, you will find Professor Boatman himself. Approach him, talk, and choose the appropriate response option to start the quest.
How to Climb to the Roof
Following the newly appeared blue marker on the map, you will surely have a logical question — how to get to the roof? Don't worry, the solution is already provided. At the former Monolith base, everything is thought out, and near each pair of yellow gates, you will definitely find a ladder that will lead you to your goal. Climbing up, follow the ladders on the left and enter inside.
Now you need to use the barrels and the short ladder in the corner of the room to get even higher.
Climbing onto the largest pipe, walk along the planks and two thin pipes on the left to reach the final exit to the roof.
How to Turn Off the Antenna
Now that you are on top, go around the roof on the right side and carefully climb the tower — this is the easiest and safest way to reach the zombified stalker. Once you are on the 3rd floor of the tower, you will have an excellent position for observing and eliminating the target. He won't resist, so just make a finishing shot.
To the left of the corpse, you will notice a ladder leading to the switch. Climb it, interact with the switch, and then calmly return to the laboratory to Professor Boatman. Talking to him, you will not only complete the task but also receive a worthy reward — the Bear detector, an improved version of the first-generation artifact detector. This device will become a useful tool in your arsenal, helping you easily detect the most valuable artifacts in the zone.
