All Jobs for the Barkeep: Stalker 2 Quest Walkthrough
These side quests in the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will become available after you explore the Rostok location. As with other traders, the quests range from simple to more complex, and accordingly, the rewards for them also vary.
Pick up the goods
Enter the shelter at the Rostok location, talk to the trader nicknamed Barkeep, and select the option Get the scarce goods.
Arriving at the new marker on the map, located near the depot, enter the building and, passing through the corridor, turn into the second room on the left. Here you will find several lockers. In the fourth locker on the left, there will be a briefcase from which you need to take the Suitcase with very valuable cargo.
In addition, you will be able to get medicines and food. If you look into the next room, you will find a blue safe with similar contents. After collecting all the necessary items, return to the Barkeep to report the find and receive 1200 coupons as a reward.
Pick up the gift
Go down to this trader's bar and talk, selecting the appropriate task item. Your task is to pick up a gift for the Barkeep's friend from the stash.
Arriving at the large building, go around it from the north side, enter inside and climb the stairs to the second floor. Go out onto the makeshift balcony and approach the nearest ventilation shaft.
Going around it from the other side, you will find a stash from which you need to take the Suitcase with very valuable cargo. At this point, an unknown stalker will attack you, who somehow ended up in the shelter area. Go down and eliminate the threat.
Return to the Barkeep to talk to him and remind about the reward. After completing the task, you will receive 1200 coupons.
Put down the thugs
Go to the Barkeep and talk to him to start this quest. As with other quest givers, who can accept several tasks, new missions will be available after some time.
As soon as you receive the coordinates of the place you need to reach, leave the bar and head there. Movement in this place is very specific because there are many buildings, debris, and other structures. Upon arrival, you will notice a large number of stalkers. There will be no conversation — better start shooting at them first. Initially, do this using a sniper rifle, peeking out from behind a wall. When fewer opponents remain, close in and eliminate the rest with melee weapons, such as a shotgun.
After dealing with the stalkers, return to the Barkeep to complete the task and receive 1500 coupons as a reward for the work.
Just Business
This is a special mission in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which you can take from the trader nicknamed Barkeep in the Rostok location, where you can also find several traders.
Talk to Barkeep and select the appropriate option to activate the mission. Two new markers will appear on your map:
- First (right) — find the missing group of Freedom members.
- Second (left) — infiltrate the bandit base.
How to find the missing Freedom members
Head to the point on the map where the last known location of the Freedom members is marked. Depending on which path you choose, you may be attacked by either several bloodsuckers or regular bandits. In both cases, we advise simply ignoring their attacks, as you will still need both medicines and ammunition while completing this mission.
When you arrive at the vehicle parking area, enter the building on the left and find the stalker nicknamed Karl Clamp. In our case, he somehow got stuck in the textures.
Hold the F key to heal the only survivor and receive the key to the tunnels in the Red Forest.
How to find the entrance to the underground tunnels
In the same room on the left, you will find a staircase leading to the tunnel door. Open it and go down to find a stash with medkits and bandages.
Continue walking through the tunnel until you encounter green and quite radioactive fumes. Use the found medicines and cross the bridge to discover the bandits.
How to kill the bandits
When you first encounter a hostile stalker in the tunnel, you can use the silent combat tactic and quickly eliminate the target while it's turned away.
Now climb the ladder and get outside using the sticks on the red containers. Here, the only and right tactic will be to first eliminate the bandits near the fence and take a position behind the wooden crates. Using a sniper rifle, eliminate all targets, occasionally leaving cover to avoid being killed by enemy grenades.
When you get rid of all the bandits outside, enter the building marked with the blue marker, climb the stairs, and kill the remaining ones. Now return to the Barkeep the same way you came. As a result of the conversation, you will receive the Sphere M-20 helmet — a titanium helmet with aramid reinforcements.
Eliminate the mutants
Descend to the bar to meet the Barman at the Rostok location, where you can discuss the task and select the necessary option. Your goal is to reach the marker on the map, find the mutants, and eliminate them.
The marker points to the northwest of the region, right at the entrance to the bunker. This area is on the very border with Yantar, in a zone where several dangerous territories intersect.
How to kill snorks
Head to the marked point, eliminating bloodsuckers or bandits along the way, depending on the path you choose. When you reach the bunker entrance, be prepared to face a group of snorks. Although there are only five of them, you will need to put in some effort to deal with them.
Snorks have high mobility and can leap at the player, dealing significant damage. This makes them especially dangerous in close combat. We strongly recommend occasionally retreating to restore health and reload your weapon. Such a maneuver will not only give you a chance to rest but also allow for more precise aiming, ensuring the successful elimination of these aggressive mutants.
Now return to the Barman and report the successful elimination of all mutants. As a reward for the completed task, Skif will receive 1500 coupons.
Pick up the goods
The Barman is one of the three traders residing at the Rostok location; however, only he can offer side quests that may yield valuable rewards. Head down to his bar, talk to him, and select the appropriate task option. After the dialogue, your task is to travel to the marked location, pick up the goods, and return them to the Barman.
How to find the scarce goods
The blue marker on the map points southwest, to one of the buildings in the Rostok settlement, located in a rather secluded part of the area. Head to this location and be cautious, entering from the east side to avoid attracting unnecessary attention.
Once inside the building, turn left and enter the room without a door. To your right, there will be six lockers. Inspect the fourth one and interact with the stash to retrieve an item called the Suitcase with very valuable cargo. Additionally, in the stash, you will find food, medical supplies, and ammunition, which you can also take without any consequences.
Now that you have the goods, return to the Barman. Talk to him, and he will reward you with 1200 coupons for completing the task.
Find a Dead Sponge artifact
Another special and highly rewarding task from the Barman is to find the Dead Sponge artifact. After talking to the trader, you won't see any markers on the map, but don't worry — we'll help you locate this rare artifact.
The Dead Sponge artifact can be found in two locations — Cauldron and Cave Network, situated in the Zaton region. We've already prepared a detailed guide on all artifacts on our website, but it's worth noting that the chance of finding the artifact you need in any anomalous area is extremely low. This is because the process of finding artifacts is determined by randomness, and you may need to spend considerable time and effort before you manage to discover the item you need.
After several attempts and spending 3 in-game days, we finally managed to find the Dead Sponge artifact in the Cauldron location. Don't give up too soon, because despite all the difficulties, the result is worth it. Once you find this rare artifact and return to the Barman, he will reward you with 10,000 coupons.
