How to Locate the Weird Bowler: Legendary Artifact Guide for Stalker 2
In the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you will find not only an exciting storyline but also many mysterious artifacts that give the Zone its unique charm. One of these is the legendary artifact Weird Bowler. In this guide, we will detail where to find the Weird Bowler, what challenges you will face, and what bonuses it can provide to the player.
Artifact Location
The Weird Bowler can be found in the southwest of the Burnt Forest location. This place is hidden in a remote house surrounded by the anomaly Mist. The location is at the intersection with the Duga region, making it even more difficult to access.
Upon arriving at the designated point on the map, you will find a forest covered in thick mist. Crossing it, you will reach a location where you will need to overcome the anomaly by performing several sequential actions. Preparation will not require much effort, and unlike other legendary artifacts, finding this one will not burden you with significant resource costs.
How to Obtain the Weird Bowler
For safe exploration of the anomaly, take any medicines for health recovery and ammunition. The anomaly does not deal damage; its main effect is teleportation to various regions on the map. Medkits will be needed for battles with bloodsuckers, as they are particularly common in this location.
Enter the mist and walk a few meters to suddenly find yourself next to a lone-standing house. First, get rid of the appearing bloodsucker, and then perform the following actions:
- Go around the house on the right side, where near the entrance you will see two windows. Pay attention to the left window — wooden planks will be visible on the ceiling, which need to be destroyed with shots. It is advisable to shoot each piece of wood so that the boxes above them fall to the floor.
- Run into the mist to find yourself in a different time frame of this location.
Note that you do not need to return to the house on your own when you are in the mist. Instead, just move forward, regardless of which part of the mist you are in. Eventually, you will still end up near the building. Now, when you are back at the house, destroy another bloodsucker and perform the following steps:
- Approach the house from the opposite side of the entrance, where there are two more windows. Looking into the left window, you will see two doors. On the door to the right hangs a lock that needs to be shot off with a precise shot.
- Explore the house, take the vodka and food, and then return to the mist again.
On the right side of the house, you have probably already noticed a basement blocked by slate. After entering the mist again, a passage inside will open. Upon entering the cellar, perform the following actions:
- After walking a bit from the doorway, you will notice a skeleton next to which lies a key to the door. Pick it up.
- Next, move along the left side of the basement passages to find a passage into the house.
- Once in the room with the stove, enter the door on the right that you opened by shooting off the lock.
- Use the key for another door on the right, next to the cabinet, to get inside. For now, there is nothing here, but this is temporary. After this, return to the mist.
Once back on the house's territory, fend off the bloodsucker and enter the house. Then, follow these recommendations:
- Open the door where you previously inserted the key, and climb up the newly appeared furniture to the attic.
- Walk to the end of the attic, where you will see a hole in the floor that you interacted with before.
- Descend and explore the stove on the left to find the legendary artifact.
All that's left is to get out of the house and successfully cross the mist. We add that this place is radioactive, so use anti-rads, vodka, or special artifacts to protect the hero.
What is the Weird Bowler for?
Unlike common artifacts like Whirlwind, the Weird Bowler does not have clear and straightforward buffs or debuffs in its description. Instead, we get only a mysterious annotation: The airborne bowler is empty, but steam always rises from under the lid. With this item, it is easier to satisfy hunger and thirst, but one should be cautious: the Zone's gifts are unpredictable.
Using the mysterious pot actually reduces Skif's need for food and helps deal with hunger. However, one should be cautious: consuming food with this artifact may cause unusual side effects such as dizziness, hallucinations, and even radiation exposure. Since hunger and thirst currently do not significantly affect the main character's condition, the artifact is mostly suitable for selling to the nearest trader.
