Marvel's Spider-Man 2: How to Unlock All Suits
As in the first part, in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, you can dress the friendly neighbor in various iconic outfits from comics and movies. This time, there are two Spider-Men, which means there are twice as many suits. However, they won't be available right away. In this guide, we will tell you how to unlock all outfits for Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
What Do Suits Affect
Unlike the previous game, suits no longer have special properties. Now they are just cosmetic changes. In the menu, you will find a separate section Suit Upgrades where you can enhance health, damage, focus, and movement. All upgrades work equally on any chosen outfit and apply to both Peter and Miles.
If you are hunting for trophies and want to get platinum, it will be useful to know that the Wardrobe reward can be unlocked immediately after unlocking all the suits; styles do not need to be unlocked.
What Are Styles
Once you get a suit, you can select and customize its style. Almost every outfit, except for some iconic ones, has four color palette options. You will have to buy styles and suits for parts and tokens, but there is good news — you don't need to unlock each of the four. It's enough to unlock the outfit and buy the remaining three variations.
Peter and Miles each have 34 suits, and with styles, the list becomes even larger.
How to Unlock Suits
There are several conditions under which a particular suit becomes available. Sometimes you need to progress through the story or reach a certain level. Another option is the successful completion of certain tasks. The most common will be purchasing for resources. There are four types:
- Tech Parts (hereafter parts);
- Rare Parts;
- City Tokens;
- Hero Tokens.
Tech Parts are abundantly awarded for almost any activity: stopping crimes, fulfilling FNSM requests, EMF experiments, clearing hunter bases, finding spider-bots, and much more.
Rare Tech Parts are harder to obtain. They are mostly awarded for opening Prowler's stashes and certain side missions that are more complex and longer than regular activities.
City Tokens are awarded for missions directly related to New York. This includes photography, collecting Marco's memories, and other similar activities.
Hero Tokens are awarded for the rarest tasks, full side stories, or completing Mysteriums. Hero tokens can also be obtained by completing absolutely all tasks in a district.
How to Quickly Get Parts
There is a lifehack to quickly collect many regular and rare tech parts. In the suit upgrades, open the Movement section. Upgrade the chain of upgrades to the 6th cell and choose the upper one with the eye symbol. It is called Omniscience.
Once you obtain it, crates with parts will start appearing on the minimap. There are many of them in the city. Chests with blue lighting contain regular parts, while those with yellow contain rare ones. You can identify them on the go by the characteristic sound, which you will hear even at high speed. This significantly speeds up resource farming and allows you to quickly get the desired suit.
