A photo of a thinner Gabe Newell appeared on the website of a company that creates neural interfaces

Starfish, engaged in the development of neurointerfaces, updated its official website, posting new photos. Among other things, they feature Gabe Newell, who acted as a co-founder of the company.
Starfish is preparing next-generation neural interfaces, «advancing the way we interact with the world». The site mentions that the sensors will be «minimally invasive» — this may mean that the implant does not necessarily have to be inside the skull.
Gabe Newell shared his thoughts on the pros and cons of neurointerfaces back in 2021. In one interview, he mentioned that implants could significantly enhance people's senses, however, «the real world would seem flat, colorless, blurry». In addition, the businessman is concerned about the possibility of hacking the devices.
Previously, Valve published a documentary film about the creation of the original Half-Life. It is worth noting that the iconic shooter turned 25 years old in November.
