Media: Netflix has problems with the series based on the Witcher universe
Probably, the already filmed spin-off in the Witcher universe about the gang of Rats will not get a whole season. According to media reports, only two of the six episodes are ready.
Last summer, Redanian Intelligence reported that the studio filmed material for the series in a couple of months, although it planned to shoot until September. Then the publication admitted that they decided to cut the project from eight to six episodes or turn it into a full-fledged film.
But Redanian Intelligence recently learned that Netflix still only has one or two episodes ready. According to the portal's sources, after reviewing the material, the company decided to abandon the entire season.
As the publication suggested, the spin-off about the Rats could be released either as a film or become part of the fourth season of The Witcher.
Let's remember that the series was supposed to tell the story of Ciri, who ended up in a gang of young robbers — the Rats. It was planned to be released between the third and fourth seasons of the Geralt series.
Netflix previously officially announced that the fifth season of The Witcher will be the last.
