Gears 6, Call of Duty, and More: Media Reveals Some Announcements for the Xbox Summer Presentation
The Verge has shared news about the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase summer presentation, scheduled for June 9 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST. The official lineup of prepared games remains unknown; however, journalists have already heard about some of the announcements.
As expected, the «next installment of the beloved franchise» is a new Call of Duty. Microsoft will dedicate a separate presentation to the game, where it will reveal the first details of the shooter. The release is planned for the end of October.
The presentation will also announce several games, with more announcements than in 2023. One of the secret games will be Gears 6, which, according to rumors, will feature an open world.
Additionally, Microsoft is set to announce release dates for already announced projects. According to journalists, the Starfield: Shattered Space expansion will be released in September, Avowed and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are set to launch in November, and the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will take place in December.
Previously, the developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 published a fresh gameplay trailer, timed to the anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident. The game is likely to be shown at the Xbox presentation as well.
